We found Mama Garcia's after moving back to the area from Texas. This is as close to authentic as you can get ---- not greasy like a lot of places in the area. Owner and staff are friendly, plenty of room so you are not sitting on top of the people next to you or listening to everyone's conversations. Costs a bit more than most places for this cuisine; however you get good portions, the taste is great, good drinks, they do not take forever cooking your food --- you get what you pay for. Also, when you get an order to go you do not pay the same price for half of the portion size --- you get the same as if you sat down, ordered, and ate in. Location is next to the theater and Sears Grand off of Dorchester so is pretty convenient locaiton. For those of you who know On the Border and Abuelo's --- the prices are about the same, maybe a dollar or two more for the fajitas but the quality is MUCH BETTER. So glad that we found this!!!
Pros: Great Food, Friendly Staff, Decent Location, Plenty of room
Cons: none -- a bit pricey, but portions are more than adequate.
