I saw Dr. Malkin over 10 years ago and before moved to the other part of the Valley. This past year, I finally moved back to Torrance and was having numbness in my right hand and fingers. I find it hard, to put into words, that express my gratitude for what you have done for me. I believe it would be best for me to recap the situation which brought me to you. In January 2012 I had Laparoscopic Surgery, to repair four hernias. Three clips were used to attach mesh to my pelvis and stomach muscles. My body developed scar tissue and calcification around the clip in the stomach muscles on the left side. I returned to work but, within three days I started to have pain in my groin area. As the scar tissue built up, it began to put pressure on the nerve leading into my left testicle on a daily basis. My surgeon recommended that I see urologist and a pain Specialist. Eventually, I saw three urologist and two pain specialists. At the point where the clip was, I received three injections from the first pain Specialist and one from a Urologist. None worked and, the pain in the testicle kept getting worse. Then the second Pain Specialist gave me three injections into my spine. Again, none worked and, the pain in the testicle kept getting worse. The only time I did not feel the sharp constant pain in my testicle was when I would lay on my left side, curled in the fetal position. Cutting the nerve to the testicle was considered. But, because another injection at the clip site from a Urologist had caused me to have even greater pain, my surgeon said that it was possible cutting the nerve could leave me with pain for the rest of my life. When I heard that, I started to lose hope. The physical Therapist I was seeing for the pulling sensation at the end of my left step, tried to break up the scar tissue through deep tissue message. It was painful and did not relieve the testicle pain. He then researched into subcutaneous ways of breaking up the scar tissue. He found that K-Laser treatments had success. Because of that, he found you. When we first met, I thought that it would be like all other treatments, useless. After your first treatment, I imagined it had helped. I am so thankful my sister in Washington state looked on the website to find me a doctor in California who could help with my painfully heel. I have been so depressed about this unbearable pain in my heel and I thought I would have to live with the limping and pain, but to my surprise and shock, my first visit was less pain and by the 4th visit I was almost pain free . I was suffering from stiffness in my pinkie finger, ringer finger and right wrist, a burning sensation in my right forearm, the back of my hand felt itchy all the time, to the point where I almost scratched my skin off. I had weakness in my right shoulder. I originally went to see my family physician and my x-ray showed a severe curvature in 'neck and was diagnosed with a degenerated disc in my neck. My physician prescribed 10 physical therapy sessions, in which I received hot packs, was shown stretching exercise and received 30 minutes of traction. It did relief some of the pain, but I still had the burning sensation in my forearm and stiffness in my fingers. I was offered more physical therapy or a cortisone injection into the affected area (spinal). I hear a radio advertisement for spinal decompression and did further investigation of the internet. .1 decided to give it a try and avoid the cortisone injection. After the initial consultation, the prescribed plan was for 10 treatments. After only 2 treatments, I was feeling better. The burring sessions in my forearm disappeared and after 4 treatments all of the stiffness and other symptoms subsided. With one last treatment, I can say that spinal decompression saved me from an unnecessary procedure. more

The results of these tests revealed numerous problems in my back; protruding disks, degenerative disks, bone spurs, arthritis and pinched nerves were the main problems. The recommendation was back surgery where hey would do a back fusion. From what I've heard, I wanted no part of this unless absolutely necessary.) I am writing this letter to you to say thank you for all you have done to help me heal. I feel so very blessed to have met you. When I heard you were a Chiropractor, I figured why not share with you about the chronic pain I have had for my entire adult life, on the off chance that you might be able to offer me some sort of advice or treatment that I hadn't yet tried. As you know, I have suffered from severe neck and shoulder pain since my early 20's. I had no specific injury or accident that caused the onset of my chronic pain. I saw a Chiropractor in my 20's who used ultrasound therapy. On the lowest setting, it would send my shoulder into uncontrollable spasm I also tried cortisone injections in my shoulder, which didn't help at all. I saw all types of doctors over the years for the pain including primary care physicians, Orthopedic Doctors, a Neurologist, none of whom could tell me anything other then I had Myofascial pain and muscle spasms. No amount of painkillers, anti-inflammatory medication or muscle relaxers helped to significantly reduce my pain. At 41 years old, I felt like I had the body of an 80 year old.
