Best

Good food, decent prices. Good lunch place but try and arrive a bit before noon or you'll wait as they get a lot of the Microsoft lunch crowd.

Worst

The food used to be very good. My last few visits were pretty disappointing thought. Portions noticably getting smaller, & the food are not as tasty as before. The laksa seems lik...

decent food, fast service 7/21/2010

Food here is okay and it comes quickly so it's good if you are hungry. The service itself does not leave a strong impression. I would come here for the eggplant dishes though. more

Spare ribs 4/16/2009

I went back again for lunch, had the avocado shake and the spare ribs. We also got Roti as well but it's not as authentic as real Malaysian food. Fried rice is good. We went on Sunday lunch, wasn't too busy. Still the same taste like how I remembered from last time. more

Great Malaysian Food 3/17/2009

For the only Malaysian food restaurant left in Seattle (there's two branches, Seattle and Redmond), this is awesome. Food quality is great. Even Malaysians will find it a reasonable alternative to the real thing. The one unauthentic disk I came across was the roti. It's really nothing more than Chinese pancakes. However the curry for the roti is good so it makes up for it. Mee Siam is a always favorite with my Caucasian friends. You can't go wrong with most of their noodle dishes. The nasi lemak is also great. more

Roti is yummy!! 3/2/2009

I like their dishes - it tastes delicious and is conveniently located near work place. i usually get their appetizer roti dish - it comes with a bowl of curried potatoes and naan. YUM! more

Great 10/28/2008

Pricey. But the appetizers are very authentic, and portions for entrees are substantial. more

Good: Friendly staff, quick service. Dishes are very authentic and tasty. This seems to be one restaurant which I always over order since so many good dishes.. Improvements: Create new dishes. more

Malay Satay Hut 4/14/2006

I am so pleased there is a Malay Satay Hut near where I live. The decor of the restaurant is really nice. It's an attractive atmosphere. The food is excellent. I particularly like the baby oyster pancake and the Chinese pork chops. Of course, don't forget your bread with the curry dipping sauce (sorry but I forgot what it's called - I'm getting old). A delicious dessert is the banana pancake. At last check, they didn't take credit cards for purchases under $25 but maybe they've changed it. Anyway, this place is delicious and so worth a try. more

Tasty food 4/12/2006

This is a great place for malaysian cuisine. The restaurants are always busy. You can tell them how much spice you want but be careful they can be really spicy. I tried their fish head curry this is a very expensive dish but the quantity is very good and tastes is heavenly. more

Malay Satay Taste-ay 3/9/2006

I tried the Malay Satay Hut in Redmond for the first time today, and it was great. I'd never tried Malaysian food before, and I loved it. I've heard this place is always crowded, but it isn't bad if you get there by 11:30. I'm certain I will be coming back regularly. more

Excellent Malaysian Cuisine 9/16/2005

This restaurant is always filled with Microsoft employees looking for a delicious, relatively inexpensive array of diverse food. The food is very tasty, and can range to very hot for those that need that extra kick to allow them to enjoy their food more. Their desserts are also quite good and unique. more

There is a reason this place is always packed!! 8/17/2005

This restaurant never fails to satisfy. It's sister (by the same name) is famous in Seattle, and I was delighted to find it on the Eastside. The service is always spectacular and the food is well presented and affordable. This is a fun place to bring visitors, or anyone interested in trying something new. Their lunch specials are the way to go. My only wish is for some more veggie options, but the ones they offer are awesome. more

Don't Get Chicken, Or You'll Get Salmonilla Too 7/12/2005

I went to Malay Satay out of the recommendation of friends and several online review sites. I went and got some of their Satay and also a main course. The main course wasn't bad, but the Satay was terrible. First off, you may notice I mentioned the Satay after the main course. This is because it came after the meal, despite that it was an appetizer. Second off, the chicken was raw! I doubt that they cooked the food over a minute or two, which makes me wonder why it took so long to come out. I recommend finding another place, unless you enjoy food poisoning. more
