Did some research before coming to this salon. I decided to go and try Mel. She is great. I felt comfortable right away w/ her. She did a color correction, which was a very tall order & of course my haircut, which came out fabulous!!! The results were incredible. I'm so thrilled w my color now. Beautiful blonde highlights (not brassy @ all). I love it and I'm most definitely going back to Mel! My hair never looked this great & perfectly blended. My layers & highlights all fall beautifully into place (even in a ponytail). Next appt. is for my Keratin Treatment!!! more

My hair looks incredible since I began getting my hair done by Mel! Rich & gorgeous color- suits me perfectly... I get compliments all the time. I won't settle for anyone else. Mel knows what I need, what looks best, & she can do it better than anyone else! more

I highly recommend Melissa to anyone looking for an awesome hair stylist. She's fantastic! It's so hard to find a good person, so I'm really grateful to have found her. She's a true artist. Get an appt with mel @ makeovers. You'll be more than happy with the results! more

in response to the previous review- These days you gotta pay to look good honey. If you r looking for a GREAT stylist, I highly recommend Mel from Makeovers. I usually need to make an appointment in advance w/ her. She is unbelievable... A whiz w/ color! I won't go to anyone else. I really hope she stays in Hoboken (or the area). Made my appointment with Mel. She gave me low & Hi- lights. My hair looks great! Service was great! I am very pleased and will definitely return. Pros: Talented Hair-stylist + Great place to shop for beauty products Cons: Small Space more

I Love Mel's work. Absolutely Gorgeous Highlights! People stop me all the time to see where I get my Hair done. I look better than ever- I Highly Recommended Her! Pros: Thumbs up' Great Beaty Supplies + Great Service Cons: Parking is tough in Hoboken, but it's definitely worth the trip if you want the best. more
