my wife and i had the unfortunate experience of stopping at the main st. cafe on our way back from a trip to mt. rushmore. smoke from the kitchen made eating the food difficult which i guess wasn't as bad as it sounds as the food was terrible, silverware was not clean. i would never stop there again more

Open for Dinners!! 4/7/2011

I just wanted to let everyone know that Main Street Cafe is now OPEN for DINNERS TOO :) We are so excited for this. We have a new and/or revised menu coming out soon with new dinner choices. We also have our 12 flavors of Bridgemans Icecream coming soon too!! Our new hours are Mon-Sat. 7am-8pm and Sundays 7am-2pm!!! Come try our Buffets: Mon...Chicken....Wed....Pasta/Pizza Bar and Sundays we have our Breakfast Buffet. Friday we have our all you can eat hand battered Cod Fish Fry during lent as well. Good: excellent service, huge portions, clean, afforable. Sunday Buffet is a must.. Bad: nothing. Improvements: we would like to see them stay open for dinner. more

Excellent home cooked food, reasonable prices and excellent service, all combine to make this the best restaurant in Litchfield. more

Town Cafe 3/30/2006

This is like a typical small town café--small and where a lot of locals go for breakfast. I have only eaten there for breakfast, but it was pretty good. The service is okay. People hold a lot of meetings there because they have a back room. Also, politicians stop in sometimes and talk to the people. It has a pretty good location--right on main street. more
