I first starting using Maid For You New York about 3 years ago when we moved into our apartment. They did the whole deep/move in clean and from what I remember they sent about 3 or 4 cleaners who did such a wonderful job that we continued to use them every 2 weeks ever since. We have the same girl come each cleaning and we trust her to come when we are not home. In addition to cleaning she also organizes our kids toys and does the laundry as well. Since she has been working in our home so long she knows how we like things to be done and we have never had to correct her on anything she does. If we ever have any special needs like expecting a package from a courier service we just leave a note for her and she makes sure to accept the delivery. We couldn't be happier with the service we have received and would strongly encourage someone looking for a new cleaning company to try them. more

We have been using Maid for You New York for almost 4 years now. We started with a move in cleaning services and now we are regular with them. They come every week and do a general cleaning of our 2 bedroom apartment in Manhattan. The fact that they provide laundry service is a huge plus for us since we both work late it?s difficult to find a laundromat that delivers the hours we need. The service is always done well. We occasionally greet the maid before we leave for work and she is always polite and pleasant to talk to. more

I recently had a total apartment renovation done and could not believe the amount of dust their was. The contractors covered all my furniture with plastic and even taped the bottom of the doors but the dust was still everywhere. I researched several cleaning services in NYC and decided to go with Maid For You New York because the phone person seemed a lot more informative and professional than every other company. There rates were a little higher but the job they did was exceptional. They sent in a crew of 3 cleaners who were all very professional and detailed. They were in the apartment for almost 6 hours and took only one break for maybe 20 minutes. They didn't waste time while they were here and you could tell they were organized. They had really impressive equipment, hepa filter vacuums and even a steam machine for our hardwood floors. At the end of the service the crew leader asked me to walk around the apartment for a final inspection to make sure they had cleaned every corner. I didn't find one thing to complain about that's how thorough they were. Overall I was very impressed and suggest anyone looking for a good cleaning service in nyc to give this company a try. more

My regular housekeeper is from Nepal and her father was on his death bed. To say her last goodbyes she had to leave for two weeks. I called Maid For You New York and they were able to get two very pleasant, very accommodating women to my house in a day. They cleaned for four hours and everything was done well. (They're not as amazing as my regular housekeeper but I didn't expect that on a first visit to an unfamiliar house.) The charge was $365. I have a large townhouse, four floors, four bedrooms, 3 baths--so perhaps that's understandable. It is way more than I pay my housekeeper. My husband and I hired this service with the intention of having a value add to our very busy, hectic schedules. Instead of having an extra helping hand we ended up with a total nightmare. I don't know how good Maid for You's actual cleaning services are, as I never got to experience them. I made a Saturday appointment for a deep cleaning at 9:00 a.m. By 10:00 a.m., nobody had showed up. I tried calling but there was no way to reach anyone. I went on the website, which listed the cellphone of the person who was supposed to be cleaning my home. I called, and the person who answered said she was sick, had called in at 7:30 but had been unable to reach anyone. I left a message on Maid for You'd answering machine. It's Sunday, nobody has called me back. I'm deeply disappointed. The entire point of using an expensive (twice the price) cleaning service over a ""freelancer"" is that they are supposed to take care of the details, deal with cancellations, etc. This lack of service is totally unacceptable. We found Maid For You New York on citysearch a few months ago when we had just bought our new apartment. We started with there ""move- in"" cleaning and now use there weekly service. The orginal cleaning was a crew of 3 people who were all very nice and professional. They really did a detailed job in the whole apartment. They were organized and had all the equipment to do the job right. The weekly service is also great. We really think if anyone is looking for a good, dependable cleaning company they should give them a try. Pros: Polite & honest workers more

This was a terrible experience. We will never use this company again. Their website and e mail confirmations preach a much different service than they practice. They are overpriced and we were very disappointed. There are quite a lot of stipulations in their online query and confirmation including a cancellation fee of $75.00. I was initially excited to click on the exact cleaning requests that they promise to fulfill. We then made our appointment and received several e mail confirmations, as well as the online credit card bill pre-paying our REQUIRED four hour initial cleaning service fee of almost $180.00. Well ... at the last minute they canceled our cleaning appointment (after having had the appointment for several days) saying that this was due to overbooking. I was very upset and told them that this was unacceptable. And so they kindly said the cleaner would come a few hours later instead. Well they NEVER arrived !! My husband then called Maid For You New York asking why no one was arriving - and they were mildly apologetic and told him that someone would come the NEXT day. The cleaner did come the next day and was an hour off (early) of the schedule. She was fine but my husband ended up having to finish completing her job after she left and was there for four hours. This was basically a disaster. I wrote a very long e mail requesting a discount or compensation, and I never had an apology OR response. Considering that most of these kinds of companies keep most of the fee themselves, we are now going to only go with maids recommended from friends who work independently of these kinds fraudulent companies! more

We needed a one time move in cleaning done. Maid For You New York were competitively priced among their competitors and they were able to come out early on a Monday morning at 6:30am. We called last minute on the saturday before and they were able to accomidate the short notice. Almost every other service we tried calling no one answered or the said the couldnt do it on such short notice. The brought all the cleaning materials since the apartment was empty that was a must. They cleaned inside all the cabinets, fridge and all the other applainces. We have a stainless steel kitchen and they were very careful cleaning all the various surfaces. We were very satisifed. This company has helped me not only with my home but also my mothers. My mother is elderly and hasnt been able to keep up with the housework so after almost 15 years of not cleaning you can imagine the task at hand. They sent 5 people to her house who were all polite and organized. They each took certain areas of her home and did a great job. They even organized with the garbage company to get a dumpster for us. This is something we have been wanting to do for sometime but were concerned about having people come to her home with sensitive papers around but the cleaning people were all understanding and were very careful with what was being thrown out. We will be calling them for periodic services to upkeep her home and mine. Pros: work for the entire time there & never complained more
