I have only let three people touch my hair in my whole entire life (23 years old) and proud of it! Professional Cosmetologist Samantha Whitaker will be the last! I like my long hair and am very picky about my hair being cut too short. \r My experience with Ms. Whitaker has been refreshing. She understands long hair -the composition as well as the upkeep of what it takes to care for long hair. Ms. Whitaker is not only professional and caring with your hair, but also listens to your requests, provides professional/important advice on the up- keep physique of your over all health and hair! Ms. Whitaker is vivacious and has a lot of experience in the field for her age. She is truly and inspiration to talk with as she is a well-spoken person. You can truly tell she has a deep passion and love for her career. \r Samantha also specializes in waxing which is truly an art! Not just anyone should be aloud to wax as I have had some horrible experiences with skin removal and waxing. If you are like me and want to keep the signature shape of eyebrow or are not sure which shape is compatible with your face, Ms. Whitaker definitely has the eye for it! \r The Magnolia hair salon has lovely décor yes, but it is how the stylists run their business that keeps me returning- the salon holds true to their reputation: “ Come as strangers leave as friends.”\r more

Saved my hair! 2/18/2012

I am an older lady, 57, who had been doing the Clairol scene at home for quite a few years. My hair was dry, the color was flat and I could not get it to keep any style. This home process was uncomfortable because of the smell and burn to my scalp. Through a friend at my daughter marching band, I discovered Magnolia Hair Salon. Cool place. Offered me coffee or my favorite pop. Diet Coke of course. Within seconds I noticed a real difference in this salon, No ammonia smell! It did not take long for the stylist to uncover the reason for the damage to my hair. She offered and explained in deta8il what she could do. She explains that my color was flat because I used a monotone color. She applied 2 base colors, based on my facial features. Then a third color, highlights to brighten my color and accentuate my cheekbones and eyes. I felt at home in this Salon and have returned for many years. more

i love her!!!! 2/14/2012

i walked into magnolia station just to get a cut with some layers. and as soon as i walked in i was greeted as i was family!!! all of the stylist have great attitudes!!! my stylist was koryssa and she was wonderful!! she made me feel relaxed and at home. she listened to every word that i said. shes young and spunky. she gave me a GREAT shampoo. i have been to some big high end salons that didnt do as good as she did. i am very tender headed. as soon as we got back to her chair the first thing that she asked me was, ""are you tender headed?"" i usually leave salons with my head sore, but she did a wonderful job! she cut my hair EXACTLY to what i wanted it! and my hair was shiny and healthy and it felt so soft after wards! i highly recommend you go to koryssa!!!!! i will definitely be back to her!!!! i have never had such a good experience with another stylist! i felt important and comfortable! thank you koryssa and magnolia station hair salon!!! more

LIFE SAVER! 2/11/2012

I went to Magnolia Station Hair Salon this morning to get a corrective color/highlight session done after I tragically decided to dye my hair at home. To make a long story short, I have naturally light/medium golden brown hair and I ended up looking like Elvira with the scary dark brown/black color that came out when I dyed it myself. TERRIFIED, I called up Magnolia. I trust them because Leddy, a fantastic hair stylist, cuts my boyfriend's incredibly difficult stick straight hair and she does a beautiful job. I originally went in yesterday for a hair consultation with Savannah, who is not only experienced, but ABSOLUTELY knows what she is talking about when it comes to hair color. Not only did she make me feel at ease that my terrible dye job could be fixed, but that she could rev it up a bit to look better overall. Well, when I came into the salon this morning Savannah worked her magic. Not ONLY does my hair look better than it did before my crappy dye job, but my haircut looks great, too! I will absolutely be returning to this salon and it's an absolute diamond in a suburban rough! Everyone at the salon is so nice and accommodating! Also, the prices are perfect as well :) more

I am so happy I had the best experience w/Andrea 4/18/2009

I had been going to a salon that closed and I was so scared of trying a new place and new stylist it was terrifrying. I really liked my friends hair and asked her who does it and she recommended Andrea at Magnolia Station and I am so HAPPY that she did it was a great fit I love the location and Andrea did exactly what I wanted and we even talked about (maybe) next time going with something new and fresh I am looking forward to my next appointment. more

The best color and cut I've had in 10 years.There was no odor!!!Love it. 12/19/2008

I feel the need to let everyone know what a great experience I had while having my color done at Magnolia Station. Not only was the experience delightful, alas there was no odor from the color as it is amonia free !!unlike my hair color from previous salon's. Brazilian Wax { Don't know why I waited so long} 12/10/2008

Heather was very professional and very thorough, I was very comfortable and put at ease with her personality. It didn't take long at all and the conversation was very distracting to the pain, which was not bad. WOW !!!! A facial I will never forget!!!! 12/10/2008

I just had the best facial of my life. Heather was very informative, but none of that high pressure sales that I have recieved in the big chain spas. I was there to relaxe and have a great facial, and that is exactly what I got. Heather has lots of experience and it showed. She was very attentive. The room was just beautiful like a little oasis with relaxing music, soft lighting and candles flickering it was like being in the Carribean miles away wow I can't wait to go back.... Pros: Amazing touch, Heather has great hands!!!!! Cons: Can't go everyday!!!! more

Fabulous coloring, great customer service, this place is a must for great hair! 9/4/2008

If you want a salon that listens to what YOU want, this is the place for you! Excellent stylists actually listened to what I wanted rather than just cutting away. This salon is loaded with expertise on coloring. I get tons of compliments on my color every time I have it done. No hard sales pitches here--they clearly want you to be happy with your hair and are very willing to do whatever it takes to make the customer happy.\r \r Super friendly faces greet you when you walk in the door. Great environment for the whole family. They even have an area for kids with toys that kept my 4 year old busy for 90 minutes! Great atmosphere. They definitely focus on customer service--they are not happy unless you are happy. I have never felt rushed or hurried and have always felt I had my stylists attention during my visit. I drive almost 45 minutes to come here--I have yet to find another place that can come close to the quality and atmosphere! I have been coming here for years and will continue to come! I love this place! Pros: highly skilled professionals, great atmosphere & customer service, EXCELLENT coloring Cons: NONE! more

best haircut ever 8/27/2008

I am new to Kennesaw and was scared out of my head about finding someone to cut my hair but I am excited to say that I have found the best there is. Kim did exactly what I wanted and it turned out perfect. My hair looks soooooooooooo good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They were all very nice and made me feel right at home. This is the place to go to get exactly what you want and you will leave there feeling like a million bucks. It was great. Best Salon in town!!! 7/31/2008

My hair stylist was out of town and I needed a quik highlight,color and cut.My girlfriend referred me to Magnolia Station in Kennesaw so I thought I would try it.I was VERY nervous about going to a new Stylist.\r \r I felt very comfortable as soon as I walked in.\r \r I noticed the Salon didn't have those chemical smells as most Salons do and when I asked the Stylist she told me that they use a non-ammonia color that is both good for the client and the environment...well that impressed me.When my Stylist Kim Layton was washing my hair she gave me a massage my other hair stylist never massaged my neck and my hair color and cut turned out just BEAUTIFUL!\r I will go back to Magnolia Station again and tell all my friends. more

Color correction and Chi Straightening Too 7/31/2008

I went to Magnolia Station to correct a color I tried (and failed at) at home. Jennie was my stylist and she was very thorough in explaining what she could do without further damaging my hair. I really had wanted to have my hair straightened but thought I would have to wait because of my hairs' condition. She did hilites, lowlites and applied the straightening system they use, which is gentle enough to use on my already over processed hair. She explained they use amonia free color , which allowed them to color my hair without further damaging it. My color came out so awesome and my hair has not looked or felt that healthy in a long time. I will definitely be booking with Jennie again. Pros: A very warm and friendly salon, 15% KSUiscounts Cons: Closed Sunday and Monday so work your schedule around theirs more

Loved my hair! great highlights 7/31/2008

I came in for color and highlights with Lamanda for the first time, and I was very pleased. The receptionist was very accomadating, she offered me a complementary drink and asked if there was anything I needed. I was very nervous because I wanted some highlights but am a little conservative, so I did not want it to be over the top. She did a wonderful job talking with me before she started so she new exactly what I wanted. She ended up doing all over color and a few highlights underneath and on the sides so they were not really extreme. I loved the finished product and have received many compliments on my color. I will definitley be coming back to Lamanda. Pros: great listener to what I wanted, staff was great, loved the amonia free color Cons: nothing more

If you want highlighting GO SEE KYLE!!! 6/24/2008

This is my 1st time coming to Magnolia Station. I was really pleased w/ the lady at the front desk, very sweet, and everyone around me made me comfortable. KSU students get a discount which is awesome!! I had Kyle give me lowlights and highlights and cut my hair and it looks SO GOOD! I've never had this many compliments on my hair color. He listened VERY carefully and double checked to make sure this is what I wanted. He really takes his time with each customer which is great in my opinion. He spent almost 4 hours on me! That should tell you something about his attention to detail and perfection. I'll keep coming back to him as I know he'll do another awesome job in the future. Thanks again Kyle!! You are awesome! Pros: Kyle is really good w/ highlights and haircuts - salon is minutes away from Kennesaw State - KSU students get discounts!! - very nice atmosphere! Cons: Nothing - your appointment might be long, but don't you want someone to pay extra attention to you?!! :) more
