Great Service! Great Haircut! 6/22/2008

As I was driving through Kennesaw the other day, I decided to look for a salon so that I could get my haircut. Before I reached I-75, I noticed Magnolia Station Hair Salon, next to Johnny's Pizza. I walked in and was greeted by an extremely friendly receptionist. Although I did not have an appointment, they were able to fit me in. Lamanda was the stylist that did my hair and she was superb! Prior to starting, Lamanda did a thorough consultation, wanting to find out exactly what I desired. A very professional stylist, Lamanda gave me one of the best haircuts I have had in recent memory. I will definitely make it a point to return to Magnolia Station, and Lamanda for haircuts in the future. Pros: very professional staff, very friendly receptionists, excellent atmosphere more

Best Salon Ever! 5/19/2008

OMGosh! I just got the coolest hairdo of my life! Donna from Magnolia Station consulted with me prior to my transformation. She really listened to what I wanted. She carefully planned how we would baby my tender scalp and make the most of my distressed locks. Magnolia Station uses colorants that don't contain amonia or peroxide, which is the main reason I chose this salon. I found the staff to be friendly and professional. Great service and great mags to read!\r \r At my appointment, Donna clarified my desires for my new hairstyle and continually confirmed that we were on the same page. I wanted a modified pob(Posh Spice bob) with multi-tonal highlights. It looks better than I ever expected! Donna took my dull, fuzzy, lifeless long hair up to above my shoulders, stacked it in the back and made it straight and glossy! I LOVE IT! I actually wept, because I had no idea my hair could look this good! I'm not kidding. I look amazing! Everyone who has seen me these past few days are raving about my hair! No exaggeration. Very unprofessional staff! 5/10/2008

I am completly appalled by the staff at Magnolia Station Hair Salon. I was in there getting my hair done very recently and although my stylist was professional and very good, I could not believe how the owner Donna and one of the stylist Lamanda were acting toward my stylist. As soon as you walked into the salon you could feel tension in the tacky, magnolia clad, country salon. Looking around an watching as I was getting my hair done I never once saw either one of them look, talk or even smile at my stylist, even though they talked to every other person and stylist there. I didn'y want to pry my stylist about what was going on for fear she would get into trouble by Donna. If you ask me, I would never recommend this salon to any of my friends. Best Hair Color and high lights 5/7/2008

I love getting my hair colored! Magnolia Station is a cozy, comfortable\r family style salon. Donna has been doing my hair for years, she is very devoted to making her clients happy with their color and style! The salon\r has a unique atmosphere. It is a salon that makes you feel like you know everyone that is working, as well as, the other customers around you. The fact that the salon is ammonia free is also a plus! Try this salon I promise you WILL BE SATISFIED! Pros: Family oriented even has a childrens play area Cons: traffic in front of salon but worth the wait more

Gotta Go!!!! 4/11/2008

After years of having long hair, I decided I wanted a change. I wanted a different color and a totally different hair style. Kyle cut, colored, and high-lighted my hair. It is amazing!!!!! I have never received so many compliments on my hair before. I saw my principal (I'm a teacher) at a restaurant and before I got to work the next morning, I had teachers coming to my room to see my hair. How did they know it was even different? Because my principal had come in that morning telling everyone about how WONDERFUL my hair looked!!! Kyle is a great stylist and I highly recommend him!! more

I LOVE my hair!!! 3/26/2008

I have always had long healthy hair so I am paranoid about who I will let near it. I heard about Magnolia Station through word of mouth and decided I would try it. My stylist is Lamanda and she always does a FANTASTIC job! After my first cut with her I realized I could trust her to give me advice and do exactly what I want. I have tried several differenct styles and colors and I love them all! She's very knowledgable about all the latest styles, cutting techniques, and products. Lamanda is also very sweet and personable. Magnolia Station is always clean and the customer service is top notch. The salon has a cozy and friendly atmophere! I am also a Kennesaw student so it is conviently right around the corner. more

Magnolia Station is great 3/19/2008

This is a great place to get your hair styled. I have been to many very expensive salons and get better cuts and service here. The hair stylists are up to date, listen to what you want and try to deliver. Amanda is the wonderful and Reese is great for hair colour. Would definitely recommend this place (although I almost hate to because I don't want to have to wait too long for an appointment!). A very comfortable and clean salon, the stylists are very knowledgeable and have very good creative ideas, it is like a more upscale salon that you would normaly find in the city but without the traveling,certainly recommended. more

Very classy salon 10/24/2007

I recieved a gift certificate to this salon, so I figured I'd try highlights. I haven't highlighted my hair in YEARS. Kyle did my hair, and I absolutely love it!! It looks awesome. And besides the great work they do, all of the ladies there smiled at me when they passed! And the ladies at the front desk were as sweet as they could be. I'll definitely be back. I haven't found a salon like this in a while. Pros: Friendly, professional hair stylists! Very classy. Cons: None that I think of. more

I absolutely love this place!! Everytime I go for a color and cut it comes out perfect. They really listen to what you want, and help you decide on what will work best for your facial structure and skin tones. I am so happy that I found this place through CitySearch! Best found in Kennesaw 5/7/2007

I'm a 24 year old guy, and normally most of my (male) friends go for cheaper places to get their hair cut. When I first moved here, I just stumbled apon this salon and gave it a shot. I was very suprised with the result! Susan was very nice, gave me exactly what I wanted, and made me feel very welcome. As a typical guy, I could go somewhere else to get a haircut cheaper, but truely I like coming here because of the qualtiy cut, attention to detail and service (always offered a coke), and the amazing amount of customer detail (she remebered our last conversation 3 weeks ago!). I have no problem paying a little extra (for a guy's hair cut, since ours are so easy) every few weeks just so I get a great cut, and the amazing service. I always ask for Susan, and will actually reschedule myself just so I can have only Susan cut my hair. Pros: the cut (over all), customer service, attention to detail, Susan is the best! Cons: Closed on Mondays, but they have to have a day off sometime! more

Great Place 4/5/2007

I've been seeing Amanda at Magnolia Station for years now. She does a wonderful job with cuts and color. The one time I was somewhen unsatisfied with my cut (decided I wanted it shorter when I got home), she had me come back and she fixed it for no charge. All of the stylists and receptionists are very friendly and welcoming, and I've never once felt uncomfotable there. As soon as you walk in, they offer you a cold soda, and they always have the latest and greatest magazines to keep you occupied while you get your hair done. If you need anything done to your hair, this is the place to go! Pros: service and staff Cons: not open on Mondays more

Best Hair 4/5/2007

I've been going to Magnolia Station for years now. Before finding this place, I tried many others, and nothing can compare. I am a regular or Amanda, and I always leave satisfied. She does exactly what I ask, and if I don't know what I want, she always has great suggestions. I feel like she truely knows what I like and what I don't. She always fits me in when I need a cut and highlight. All of the stylists there are very friendly, which creates a great atmosphere. I used to dred going to get my hair done, but now I look forward to it because I know it will be a good experience. Pros: great atmosphere, good locations, friendly staff Cons: it's such a great place that you need to make an appointment a good bit in advance to get in when you want more

Best and Worst Hair Salon 3/29/2007

I've been to Magnolia Station Hair Salon at least 6 times and my hair cut and color has ranged from the best I've ever gotten to trying not to cry until I got to my car. Donna gave me beautiful hair cuts and color twice and watching her was like watching an artist. But the last time I went to her she just chopped away really quickly and slopped on the hair dye - I was left with at best a mediocre cut and light color roots and very dark ends. I had to color my own hair a few days latter because the color looked so bad. \r \r I've been to two other stylists at Magnolia and they did a terrible job. Needless to say, I'm not going there any more. It's a shame because they are so close to my home. \r Pros: They have a table and some games for kids - great for moms. Cons: Not reliable. more

Professional and fairly priced hair salon 3/28/2007

I have been going to Magnolia Station for about 3 years now and have never had a bad experience. Donna, the salon owner does amazing things with color. She has the innate ability to know what will go perfect with your skin tone and eye color and what will make you look younger. Not only that but you can bring her a photo of your favorite style and she will give you that exact cut. Sometimes I have to wait a few minutes for her but that's okay because she gives time and attention to each client's needs. Susan is also excellent. I have gone to her several times when Donna was not available. She gives as good a cut as well. Another BIG reason I go to this salon is becasue their prices are extremely fair when compared to other highlty rated salons in the area. Pros: price, location, parking, friendly staff more

Amazing stylists to take you from Dull to Runway 3/26/2007

After just getting my hair Colored, Hightlighted and cut. I was compelled to write a raving reveiw!!!! It was my first time at this salon and I was a little wary about trying something new (having been burned in the past by stylists), but Reese made me feel at ease and talked to me about what I wanted exactly. I wanted something totally new and modern. We looked at pictures and colors until Reese knew what I was looking for. I was totally blown away by the results!!! My hair looked like one of the models in the books! I have gotten so many complements on my hair and I feel 10 years younger! I can't wait for my next appointment, which I pre-booked because I want to make sure I don't have to wait weeks when I ready for my touch up. Try Magnolia Station, you won't be disappointed! My second visit to Magnolia Station today was as good as the first. Reese is very personable and truly adept at her craft. My hair feels very soft and the color looks natural, the way I wanted it to. Reese made me feel right at home and comfortable ? the time flew by. I left feeling great about my hair color and cut. The best Salon in Kennesaw! 3/19/2007

I have been going to Amanda at Magnolia station for about 4 years now and I LOVE this Salon. Not only is she a great Stylist, I truly enjoy going there. The entire staff is awesome and the support staff greet me by name each time I come in the door. I think the atmosphere at Magnolia Station keeps me coming back as much as the great cut and color I receive from Amanda . I ALWAYS get tons of compliments on my hair and I highly suggest you try them! Lamanda and Reese are awesome, too... I've seen their work! Try the Salon...you can't go wrong!
