Finally, after years of trying dozens of salons in Marin (and traveling to the city when I gave up), I found a terrific salon!\r \r Karen at Magnolia Avenue Salon is wonderful. Personable, professional, experienced. No airs or attitude - just great hair from someone who has experience and ability that speaks for itself.\r \r Karen took the time to listen to what I wanted - and what I didn't want. She gave me quality hightlights and a fresh cut. \r \r As an added plus, I like supporting local, women-owned businesses and Magnolia fits the bill.\r \r Magnolia also offers quality products such as Terrax and Phyto, (my personal favorite). No one tried to push product on me, which I really appreciated. They gave me honest feedback on products and I walked out feeling I got so much more than what I paid for, including peace of mind that my search for great highlights in Marin is finally over!\r \r Thanks to Karen for making me feel beautiful! Karen Davis is the most absolute accomplished colorist I have ever experienced. This is a high rating given my previous colorists at D. Pietro Todd, Joseph Cozza salon and 77 Maiden Lane. I have thick hair and many stylists aren't sure what to do with it. Gigirenee is a first class hair designer with a warm and bubbly personality. Very patient, with a great eye for beauty and a real find in Marin County. I have had hair done all over the world in the best salons and Gigirenee is certainly among the best. I recommend her highly without reservation. In a county with more hair salons than traffic lights, Magnolia Avenue Salon is the standout best. I've had my hair and beard trimmed at maybe a dozen places before discovering this place. Now I don't let anyone other than Karen Davis touch my hair. Life's too short for bad haircuts. more

Not only do I get great haircuts but the place has a great atmosphere and they are always ready for me at my appointment time. Also, the coffee is very good.\r \r I wouldn't go anywhere else.
