Dr. Rose Magno takes a lot of time with her patients. She won\'t try to sell you extra procedures you don\'t need. She monitors black spots on your teeth over time and won\'t recommend a filling until she is sure the spots are actually cavities (not just stains). She explains every thing she is doing inside your mouth and constantly checks with you to make sure you are doing okay throughout each procedure. I used to have anxiety every time I visited the dentist. No longer. Dr. Rose Magno\'s caring bedside manner makes visiting her an enjoyable experience. more

Dr. Magno is a really good dentist. I've had bad dentists before, and he is like a breath of fresh air. The office at Emeryville Dental is clean and modern, the staff is really nice, and her hygienists are very thorough. She doesn't push a lot of expensive cosmetic work like some dentists do, but it's available if you want it. more

All of the positive things that people have said about Dr. Rose Magno are true. She is simply a caring dentist, who takes time with each patient. She is always easy to reach, and very informative. The work and cleaning I received here was amazing. 5 stars. more

Thanks to Dr. Rose Magno and her wonderful staff I am smiling again for pictures. I chose his office based on the great reviews from other people and because of that, I knew it was the Dentist Office for me. Everyone in the office is very cheerful, kind, courteous and super friendly. more

I waited awhile to post this just to make sure all was good. So now I'm posting my great review...lol. I don't like going to doctors appointment because I have better things to do but if I must, I come here. So I only come for emergencies then wait to see if all is good. They've yanked my teeth, they've given me root canals & you'd think I learned my lesson to just nip my teeth problems in the bud before it gets to this point, right? Okay okay. I finally committed to getting all my dental work done before it becomes bigger problems. Now I just get my teeth cleaned and worry less about my teeth.I keep coming back for more because they are so good at what they do. I feel very comfortable here and they are very compassionate about their work. And by the way THANKS FOR MY GREAT SMILE! I get alot of compliments from it. more

I have nothing but positive vibes from Dr. Rose Magno's office: the staff is friendly and fast and Dr. Rose Magno is especially thorough and detail-oriented. Unlike others, Dr. Rose Magno seems to genuinely love being a dentist and wants to be the best. more

I got my work done at this dental office and saw for myself how the ladies at the front are super cautious about informing me of my rights and signed agreements it was an overkill in my opinion. BUT I do understand why. As I was watching and listening to other clients at the counter while sitting in their waiting room, commonsense does NOT seem to register to most people, and this I see needs to be at ad nauseum explained. I found every good reason to get my dental work done here, and I am well satisfied. I found her work to be well worth it. Great Job ! Thank you very much.\r more

Reading these mixed reviews, and actually seeing & getting work done at this dental office for myself, it's hard to believe any negative reviews of this place. In fact the ladies at the front are super cautious about informing me of my rights and signed agreements it was an overkill in my opinion. BUT I do understand why. Riding to Ex'pressions College in Emeryville, and I noticed a couple laughing and smiling coming out of a dental office. That's odd. What's so good about going to a dental office. I had to see for myself. I asked for a cleaning only at first, and gradually worked my way up to getting my wisdom tooth taken out.Other dentists have been trying to get me to do this, since it?s sooo infected, but I resist. But Here, I felt comfortable, safe, and well taken care of.Okay, I'll be coming here for often,this time with a smile. :-) more

I asked for a cleaning only at first, and gradually worked my way up to getting my wisdom tooth taken out.Other dentists have been trying to get me to do this, since it’s sooo infected, but I resist. I had periodontal problem and teeth that were rotting or close to being not saveable. I heard good things about her and wanted to see for myself. How lucky it was for me to find a good dentist. I was nervous. She told me that she could take care of my dental problems and was very caring. The Doctor explained to me what I needed and my choices, and the receptionist explained to me an estimate of what my insurance may pay for the different services (previous dentist billed me after dental work done and left me no choice but to pay!). After more than one year of complicated dental procedures (some with laser treatment) she saved my teeth and gum. She is a nice Doctor with humor. I like her a lot. more

Going to the dentist is difficult enough. The staff and personnel made my experience coming here enjoyable and well worth it. It helped that I hardly felt the numbing and was not as traumatized as I was before. Happy Customer :-) Pros: Excellent overall more

It's terribly difficult to find good doctors that you can build a relationship with, so I am fortunate to have found a caring, funny, super smart dentist. I've had nightmarish dental experiences at other offices in and around the surrounding area, even those others had recommended them to me because of one thing or another. Dr Magno has great staffs who are always smiling and they use plenty of modern gadgets and doo das to make the checkups more exciting & efficient. But let's get serious here - I haven't wanted to go anywhere else since I started coming here. I cringe at the thought of it. I have not been to the DENTIST for over 6 YEARS now because of the unique experience with Dr Rose MAGNO. I went to have dental work in 2003. I had dental insurance but she harassed me for money plus the insurance payment and this is now 2009. She tells stories, over charges, makes up charges,extremly greedy for money, cant keep staff .\r How they let her stay in business, I dont know. But I do know I made a mistake going there , Dont make the same mistake I made, because no filling or cleaning is worth being harrased for 6 years. Wow, I am shocked at the blatant posting of phony reviews here! Before you even consider visiting this dentist, please view their 1 1/2 star rating on yelp. How is it possible that two review sites have such completely different results for the same dentist? Easy, yelp doesn't allow business owners to post phony reviews about themselves. This is not a knock on CitySearch, just a knock on this dentist for abusing their review site. Also, be sure to read her blog (emeryvilledentalcareteam.wordpressDOTcom/) and the discriminatory job description that another reviewer posted here. This dentist is incredibly rude and unprofessional. She is never apologetic, only defensive and rude. Your Mother Knows Best.\r Interesting comment,Tory,even though you were not there watching what we did for your mother.Your mother may be 80 years old,but she looks 50 ! & will speak up for herself when she knows she's right.That ""extra charge"" of $120 for cleaning went towards a special solution that we have our patients rinse with, to detect oral cancer in the mouth. If she had cancer-like or abnormal tissues developing in her mouth, the tissues would glow in the dark. Wouldn't you want to find out if you had cancer in your mouth for $120? This is a minimal charge & is well worth the amount paid. This is an ""extra service"" & therefore incurred an ""extra fee"" of $120, so therefore we cleaned your mother's tooth for FREE ! Your mom has been a long time patient of ours&has been happy with all the work we've done for her (it's all maintainance now, no other dentist could have done the difficult work we had completed for your mother),which is why she returns. Since you were not there, of course you don't know. So next time your mother comes to our office, please come along with her & be enlightened. (If she does not return because of the confusion & drama you had caused, let her know that we are here to serve her when she needs our service again) . I can't rave enough about this Dental Office. They are super. The Staffs are super helpful and takes alot of time giving me service no other offices had done before. The Doctor's work is extraordinary, beyond my expectations and has a great sense of humor too. I find myself looking forward to coming to a Dental Office! Big difference from my past experiences with other Dental Offices. Also, I never knew that there was such a thing as alleviating migraine headaches just by fixing the bite or finding cavities using a laser or gum reshaping or fixing a lisp from a dentist before, until now. Lots of neat things that this office can do. Pros: many neat things this Dental Office can do more

I usually dislike going to the Dentists, but I had no choice coming here. I broke my tooth and this was the only place that was opened on a Saturday.Tell you the truth, I had a great experience! I didn't even feel the shots! Everyone was helpful and I had a good feeling about this place. It's small and personal. They knew how to take care of me. On a side note, they were upfront with me in my cost and what to expect from my insurance, which was not much for what I wanted to have done on my mouth, and what my insurance wanted to pay for, of course! but I thought the prices were reasonable and well worth what I had paid.
