With such an obviously mixed reputation how can this store be rated NUMBER 2 in vintage? Los Angeles is literally filled with vintage stores run by honest people. This baffles me and I believes deserves an explanaition more

October 2010 Do not use Maggie Rose to sell your items. She truly is a liar, cheat and thief. I left several thousand dollars of beautiful clothing with her for resale and never heard a word from her nor received one dollar in compensation. I tried calling first, only to find that the phone number on my invoice was no longer in service. So, I stopped by the shop the retrieve my merchandise and was told that Maggie had sold out and was now in France. As far as my things went, even though I recognized all the same people there from my previous visit, no one knew a thing. I was told that the matter would be looked into and that someone would be in touch with me within a week. Guess what?? No one called and the new number I was given was incorrect. So back I go. It has been only ten days since my previous visit but nobody recognizes me, nor can they remember that I had been there with my problem less then two weeks earlier. I ask to see the manager, and out comes non other than Maggie herself, using another name. Once again, I explain my problem and am assured that someone will be in touch with me within a week. It has now been three months and I have not heard one word from them, nor will I ever. If you value your things, DO NOT TAKE THEM TO MAGGIE ROSE COUTURE. Your things will be sold, but you will never know nor will you receive any compensation for them. more

Maggie Cisneros (her real name) is a complete criminal thief. She purchased services from me and never paid. Even after a small claims court judgement, she still wouldn't pay. I referred some people to her to help sell their goods and she ripped them off too. Adding insult to injury, the photo used here and on her website is the one I took and was never paid. Don't do business with this type of scumbag person....there are plenty of legitimate companies that are more deserving of your hard earned dollars. Cons: Steals from people.....complete scam more

I just stumbled upon this awesome place in the valley while visiting friends, I drove by & found this amazing store. I was freaking out about an outfit for a 4th party & found evrything here, an amazing chanel jacket, ysl shoes-teamed with this cool non-descript designer dress, its got a louis XIV interior, the owner Maggie was very helpful. I have been coming here for years, I cant express how much of a treasure it is, I have found the most beautiful hard to find couture outfits from Dior to Chanel & even jewelery, you can literally walk out of there looking as if you were styled for the Oscars, such a gem!! Not to mention I have been cleaning out my closets tri-annually reselling my own designer wares, making a great profit while recycling-feeling good about the impact that has on the environment; keeping my wardrobe FRESH in the process! Eugene is also the sweetest most knowledgeable person when it comes to furs, hes been there for years & always a pleasure to deal with, who will tell you what exactly what compliments you the most. There is no need to repeat the rest of my story, its all listed in the other reviews, the exact same thing has happened to me...if only I'd read this sooner! What looks like a trustworthy and established business is only a scam. She hides behind her staff and her answering machine and steals your coveted items while she drives an Aston Martin. Left an $9,000 dark ranch mink on consignment in April. Told summer wasn't good for furs. Understandable. Went back today (Oct, 6months later) to retrieve coat. Was told it had been sold! Why was I never contacted?? After the shock of being told it was gone, I asked how much it sold for. The man said he couldn't tell me. I would have to come back and talk to Maggie. I insisted on knowing what they sold it for. Consignment is 50%. Was told I had an attitude and he would no longer talk to me. I haven't seen or heard from Maggie yet. Went on her site to see what was written about her (too late) After reading all the horrible things she's done and gotten away with including being in 7 lawsuits, I am completely stunned. Why this shop is still in business is beyond all comprehension. This woman is a scam artist who takes in your items and does not pay when they are sold. Has her staff tell you there is nothing left and then does not return phone calls. BAWARE - CHANGED THE NAME - ROCK COUTURE VINTAGE.... Maggie doesn't pay the people who leave their clothes in her store. five times I was told to meet her. She never turns up. She doesn't pay for the clothes that are sold. And when you want you 'couture' clothing back. GUESS WHAT - Its missing, and she doesn't care. As you can see from the reviews below, Maggie is a con artist. She took our products months ago and won't give us any money. We have tried to contact her for weeks and she won't answer the phone and keeps sending our call to voicemail. The people in the store are liars and claim that they have no way to contact her. I am filing a law suit against Maggie and her store.
