CHEAP, fast, and delish 10/8/2008

I love coming here for lunch except it gets really crowded and is very small. You cant beat the rpice and quickness though. If I have the time id go to a better thai restaurant but it is conveniently located, fast, and very cheap! more

Not sure how they receive all the 5 stars 7/31/2008

I've never writen a review before however, after my experience with this restaurant I just felt I had to add my voice. They are definitely not the BEST nor are they any good! I ordered the Pad Kee Mao - NO FLAVOR at all. And when I went to pay by credit card they were going to charge me a surcharge unless my total was $10 and above. So, I added the spring rolls to my order. Okay let me tell you the lettuce in the spring rolls were yellow (definitely not fresh) and the rice noodles were slight brown. Again my entree had no flavor and the dish only filled up half of the to go box. And on top of that I ordered the Pad Kee Mao chicken - there were only 3 pieces on chicken in my dishes. For all that I paid $11.50. Definitely would NOT recommend this place to anyone. There are restaurant that give you more food, more flavor and fresh food for less! Cons: Food is not fresh; Overcharge and want to charge you a surcharge for using a credit card more

I was less then pleased to find that my to-go order skimped on the main ingredients. In my order, there were only two small pieces of broccoli, one green bean, three slivers of onion and a chunk of pepper that was cut from the stem. My order came with two modest strips of chicken. Mediocre Thai 5/13/2008

I have only eaten once at the location on Pike St. near 2nd Ave. Based on the dish I had, hot and sour noodle soup, I would never go back. It was like eating a bowl of vinegar. Maybe their other dishes are better, or equally horrifying. I'll never know. Pros: Fast and cheap Cons: Bad food more

Since Mae Phim doesn't have a feedback section on their website (yes, they have a website where you can place online orders) - I'll share my feedback with all of you. When Mae Phim is great, it's a delicious cheap lunch, and when they're ""off"" it's a sad dissapointment. My faves are cashew chicken & veggie curry. Their soups are also tasty. Whatever you do, stay away from the pad thai - it's the worst I've ever had. I ordered it the first time I ate there (I ususally consider pad thai to be a good measure of a thai restarant), and I just about never returned due to the noodles with ketchup taste. But it's so convenient! On a dissapointing day you might get mushy rice, oily, flavorless, overly salted food, with an overabundance of sharp undercooked onions. A bad day can curb any Phim craving real quick, and put me back on hiatus. Eventually though, memories of the delicious dishes and savory smells usually lure me back, after all it's close & it's cheap. Pros: Inexpensive; large portions; convenient; friendly Cons: inconsistent quality; cramped quarters; sometimes super busy abrupt service more

Excellent food! 5/20/2007

Amazing, flavorful, and aromatic dishes. My personal favorite is the curry noodle soup without the fried onions with prawns, tofu or chicken (not a beef eater). It's the most amazing soup ever. I drive all the way from Issaquah every weekend for that. The restaurant is small, so if you have a party larger than 5 or so, I'd reccomend takeout. EVerything comes out super fast. It's maybe a 2 minute wait for a party of four to get all of their food. I've never dealt with a rude person at the register, maybe I go there on a day where she isn't working. I cannot beleive that every entree is only 5.50 for a whole lot of food. Really great for lunch, if you're broke, or just want amazing thai dishes. I highy reccomend this place. Pros: Speed, cost, taste Cons: small and not romantic. People coming in and out through the door all the time. more

Good Quick Food - Mean Lady 5/3/2007

This place has great food! Some of the best Thai food I have ever tasted. I go about once a week on my lunch break. You must experience this place but watch out for the lady who rings you up when you get take out, she is always in a bad mood and is very rude. I would have given this a perfect score if it wasn't for her attitude problem. The other service is great though. Enjoy! Pros: Quick food, great tasting! Cons: Very Mean Lady at the Register more
