Madden Plumbing & Heating

We arrived at our Calpine house the day after Christmas and after turning the water on we experienced a broken pipe which started flooding our attached garage. We were able to contact Madden plumbing who arranged to send out their expert tech Mike the next morning. Mike was able to install 2 drain valves in a very small and cramped area and in less than two hours had it all done. We definitely use Madden plumbing again and recommend them highly. more

Last Thanksgiving our old HWH died just before our 6 family guests arrived for the weekend. Jim and Mike spent the entire day before Thanksgiving (and some of the day after) installing the Navien on-demand HWH he recommended. That saved our weekend! We've now used the system for a full year, and the propane savings have been remarkable, almost a 50% reduction in costs, with plenty of hot water for everything, including whole-house heating. Your guy, Mike showed up to deal with the blocked storm drain. He efficiently unclogged the drain. He is a great communicator, makes a good impression, all around general nice experience. more

We have recently purchased a seasonal residence which has complicated plumbing. We do not know how to effectively drain the pipes. Madden has a great service to fill the lines with a non-toxic anti-freeze so we don't have to heat the house all winter (huge expense) to keep the pipes from freezing. Over the last several years, Madden has rescued me from several plumbing disasters. They have been responsive, pleasant and very competent. Recently, they saved me from a heating disaster that occurred over several days. Jim Madden seemed obsessed with wringing life out of a dying furnace. At last, reliable heat arose from the disaster in the form of a new furnace, clean ducts and more. The best part is the conversation and friendliness of all involved. Somehow, they make problems seem like fun. more

Madden Plumbing & Heating do great work, and are very knowledgeable. They have a reputation around here that is consistent with quality, and that is not easy to do in a small community. They have been an asset here for many years. I had no problem with the quality of the work I received from Madden. I did have a significant issue, however, in that they forgot my appointment. I have a 90 year old father and needed to have the hot water fixed. I know that the service tech was very busy that day, but I was disappointed in the oversight. Then, when they did show up, I thought the prices for the repairs were a little high. But when they fix something, it stays fixed, which makes a difference with all the fly-by-night operations out there. I will use Madden again, despite my experience, because they apologized profusely for their mistake. You rarely see this, and it impressed me. The owner of the company apologized personally, which showed me that they really care. You don't see this level of sincerity too often these days. In the overall scheme of things, I give Madden a four out of five. more
