Still my favorite 4/10/2009

Still the best pizza, to me, than anywhere else in the shore. Yes, even better than M and M in OC......quick right to the point with the thin crust, I cant go a weekend without having at least one visit.\r \r FYI......In 1990 slice of pizza with pepperoni was 1.50, plain slice was 1.25. 18 years late, the prices have doubled. Im worred that 10 years from now Im gonna have to pay 6.00 for a slice. I hope it doesnt come to that. Pros: Cant beat this pizza Cons: Prices creeping higher and higher more

Not too bad..... 8/25/2008

As a kid, we went to Wildwood a lot, and we always had Mack's Pizza. As an adult, I recently returned, and was actually hesitant because of the memories of the pizza. Not bad memories, but NY style tends to have a crisp crust, while Philly NY style tends to be more chewy. I like the chewy crust.\r Anyway, it wasn't bad, kinda in between in my eyes, and I'll go back when I'm around.\r \r As far as the person thinking they were being prejudice and asking for money first, it wasn't you, they did to everyone there while we were there. I found this unusual, but I'm sure they have had many people run out on them, it is Wildwood.\r \r Look, I'm 54, and the people I was there with are from their 40's to their 60's of all differnt races, I'm sure they didn't think we were going to run out, but it probably has turned into policy.\r \r Macks is OK in my book.... Pros: Brings back good memories.... Cons: Brings back good memories.....LOL more

Disappointing pizza 8/24/2007

I have been eating Mack's pizza for 46 years now. There was simply no pizza that could compare. My brothers and cousing worked at Mack's on Wildwood Ave. We couldn't get enough of it. We would even come to the shore when we weren't on vacation to take some pies home and freeze them. It was tradition! Until this year. As soon as we unpacked, we headed to Mack's. The pizza was not the same. It was not the Mack's pizza I remembered. Unbeknown to me, my family and friends were all saying the same thing. What did you do to our pizza? I think you switched the cheese. Cheaper? I was so disappointed as was my entire family. Mack's was like our family. I have a new pizza place now. I will try Mack's again next summer. I will give you one more chance. Until you bring back the old pizza, I'll take my business to Sam's. more

mediocre pizza, mediocre service 7/11/2007

I suppose I'm going to hear it after I write this one, but it had to be done. The prices are good, but the service was definitely not up to par. Why do I say this, you ask? Because out of all the groups that walked into that pizza place, the waitress asked my table to pay the bill before we even got the food. Oh yea, and most of the people in my group were black and hispanic. I saw the manager talk to her before she asked us to pay, so I suppose it was the manager's idea. Needless to say, she didn't get a tip (hey, if she wants to treat my friends stereotypically, that's how we're going to act). \r Besides that, it was a tad crowded (but what place in Wildwood isn't). I guess the value was good if we're talking food wise. \r Pros: cheap pizza Cons: biased service more

The Best!!!! 2/24/2006

Q: Where can you get the best pizza in South Jersey? A: At Mack's on the Wildwood Boardwalk. I'm from the North Jersey/NYC area but have relatives in Wildwood. Every year I visit them and ALWAYS pick up a few slices at Mack's. One of my top 5 favorite pizzerias around. A must-get-to if you're in the area. Pros: Oustanding Pizza, On Boardwalk Cons: Always Busy, Drab Pizzeria Decor more
