Macintosh Service & Repair - MAC GUY

Picked up my MacBook Pro yesterday. It was a complex problem that completely stymied the Geniuses at the Apple Store. We went back and forth over and over, and finally they wanted to switch me into a new one, for quite a bit of money. \r \r A friend suggested the MAC GUY. The first repair we changed out the DVD cable which seemed to fix it, but a week later I couldn't watch my movie, so I went back and we replaced the drive, that was two months ago, and its worked great since. Nonetheless, I took it back to the Mac Guy on Tues. since he had suggested that I come back and we would trade out the old cable just to be sure whether or not it continued to work, and so we put back the old cable right there on the desk, and no!... it failed to even mount, so we put back the new one, and it worked. I knew this was a complex problem, but we worked it out. I'm thrilled, and now have extra money to spend! lol more

I am a computer science major and needed my computer fixed quickly. I support local business and brought it in to the Mac Guy. He said he would call me in 2 days, I didn't hear from him for 5!!! He said that the hard drive was bad and we discussed options. I can do this type of thing myself, but since he had it I opted to let him do it. He put in the drive and told me that (after 2 more days) he could NOT get my documents to migrate. I told him to put a fresh install of OSX on it and I would come and get it. I picked it up, only to find that the problem stil existed. I took it to the genius bar and we found that the sata 3 cable was the problem, not the hard drive. I FIXED IT MYSELF, putting in all new components and cable. I put in a terabyte high speed in the optical, a OWC 240gb ssd in the main drive bay(after replacing the cable), and it works great...including the old drive (the 'bad' one) when I connect it via usb cradle. For someone who 'knows' mac, he sure fell short on this one!!! GO TO THE GENIUS BAR INSTEAD and save yourself what happened to me. more

Yup! Good JOB. Got my emac fixed, I guess for the last time as it is rather old, the power supply died but all my programs are good programs... it's now fixed and working much faster too. Macintosh Service not only replaced the power supply, but cleaned and optimized my hard driver. more

Took my iMac there with blown capacitors and the Mac Guy replaced them all right there in the shop, for about $200. It worked perfect and I saved a bundle. more

I just wasn't impressed. I can't remember who helped was really rude. I'm not going back more

Come on in to the Mac Guy and experience a first rate high quality repair on your Mac.\r \r The 'Fannie H.' below, doesn't even exist... 'her' identity is a SHILL account being used to TROLL the Mac Guy. So far 4 different accounts have been created... A Mike, Fannie or F., Gilberto, and a J. or Jason account... ALL ARE SHILLS and FAKE. This person is posting at all the YELP like sites so expect to see them showing up. On this one, Fannie doesn't actually exist, and 'her' repair never happened. more

Do NOT take your Mac to this guy! He kept my macbook for weeks, when I got it back it didn't work and he refused to fix it. His reason? NONE! He just told me to get out of his store! Now, I am not the type of girl who makes a big fuss about nothing, and I didn't with him. But he absolutely refused to perform the work I paid him for. I also think he swapped out some new parts for old while he had it. He also didn't mention that he does not take any credit or debit card and insists on being paid in cash. Overall the worst experience I have ever had. If there is another Apple repair facility within 50 miles of you GO THERE INSTEAD! (I would have given 0 stars, but you have to give 'a rating'. Trust me, he doesn't deserve even ZERO!) more
