LOVE LOVE LOVE Karen & MD Skin Effects! I started seeing Dr. Mangat as an allergy patient, then my husband bought me a ""voucher"" for a facial...turns out it was at MD Skin Effects which turned out to also be my allergy doc! I was hooked from the first facial! Now, I go monthly for Karen's signature facial. She has seen me through two kids worth of pregnancy skin, stress and numerous medications changes which all took a toll on my skin and every time, I left relaxed, refreshed and with beautiful glowing skin. \r \r My monthly signature facial is something I look forward to - I get some ""me"" time and my skin is beautiful, clean and clear. I have not taken advantage of many of the other services they offer as I am lucky enough to have skin that looks younger than my age (and hopefully will stay that way), but, I would highly, highly recommend visiting Karen just to try out the signature facial for yourself and see how truly amazing you will feel afterward. more

I have been going to MD Skin Effects for a little over a year now and am so grateful that I found Karen over there... She has saved my life!!! I never in a million years would have thought that I would get adult acne but I did. It was so aweful!! I had pimples,whiteheads, and blackheads everywhere. I hated to look at myself in the mirror!!!! I initally discovered them through a Groupon and when the treatments were over I decided to go elsewhere. BOY was that a mistake.... The other place I went to only made my acne more pronounced and were unable to treat it properly. I then decided to go back to Karen at MD Skin Effects and BOY was that a BLESSING!!! Now a little over a year later my acne is all clear and my skin has never looked better and its ALL THANKS to KAREN!!! MD Skin Effects is well worth the money for Karen's expertise!!!! I was an allergy patient of Dr. Mangat & had a facial with Karen in MD Skin Effects. I learned of the other procedures they did and decided to give the Botox injections a try. The procedure was painless and the results exactly what I wanted. I then asked Dr. Mangat to do the Juvaderm dermal fillers to fill the ""parenthesis"" I developed over the years around my mouth. Dr. Mangat & Karen work well together & are very careful not to overdo these procedures. When I saw the results after the Juvaderm, I was amazed and so, so pleased! I had dermal filler about 2 years ago (done by a plastic surgeon), but the results did not look like this. These results were much better than when a plastic surgeon performed the same type procedure. I will have Dr. Mangat do these procedures from now on. She & Karen are amazing people & so easy to talk to. They make the visits extremely fun with their light hearted comments yet are very professional. Karen's facials are terrific & extremely relaxing. The IS Clinical products are great too. They really work for me & my skin finally looks healthy. This group is wonderful and I will go nowhere else unless I need a procedure that Dr. Mangat can't perform. Thank you to Dr. Mangat & Karen. more

I am so pleased with the skin care I receive at MD Skin Effects. I so look forward to each visit and each visit exceeds my expectations. Karen gives good advice for you personally and she is very attentive. Each visit is extremely relaxing. I usually only go online to comment on businesses when I feel that negative feedback on a company is warranted in order to save some unsuspecting soul, but my experiences at MD Skin Effects have been so positive, I want to give this local business the accolades it deserves. I have had both microdermabrasions and IPL from Karen and Dr. Mangat and each time I've gone in for treatments has been a wonderful experience. Karen is very knowledgeable, kind, and caring, and Dr. M is warm, friendly, and the consummate professional. I've just completed a series of IPL for dark spots, broken veins, and rosacea and my face looks so much better than it did! I'm looking forward now to having a relaxing facial from Karen really soon. Dr. Mangat, Karen and the staff at MDSE's are AMAZING! What they can do you for your skin is equally AMAZING! I have had numerous procedures and I always leave feeling fresh faced and smooth skinned. After just having a baby I was in need of some rejuvenation! I had my facial done by Karen who performed a shoulder, neck and face massage as well as the facial. She first explained everything she was going to do, she asked me if I had any skin concerns, she made sure I was comfortable with the room temperature and music and made sure I didn't have any allergies to the oils she was using. Her techniques were so soothing and relaxing, it all flowed flawlessly. Just when I thought it couldn't get any better she applied a chocolate masque which smelled so decadent. The whole experience was absolutely beyond expectations. I have highly recommended this to friends already and can't wait for my next one! more

I'd like to say that I am completely content with this facility. I was frightened of getting botox in the past & must say waited way 2 long 2 get it done because I was comforted & felt more @ ease after Ms.Karen explained everything thoroughly. Even over the phone she took the time before I had even made an appointment! Just before the procedure she made me feel less stressed & it along w Dr. Monas professional abilities to perform this w no negative sideffects & fabulous lasting results keeps me coming back when more treatment is needed. The aesthetician, Karen, not only cares for your skin, but also cares about you as a person. She consults with you about your lifestyle and habits and works with you to achieve the best skin treatment designed especially for you. Products are recommended, but never pushed. The products I have purchased, in combination with monthly treatments, have improved the quality of my skin. I have been receiving treatments at MD Skin Effects for over two years. I can not tell you how much better my skin is compared to when I started. Dr. Mangat has excellent knowledge of different products for different skin types. Karen the aesthitician is excellent at well. She has a great touch and takes her time with you. I was referred to MD Skin Effects by a friend back in January. This was my first visit to an esthetician. Karen immediately put me at ease, answered all of my questions and made treatment reccomendations. I've been doing a combination of microderm and facails and can see great results. Overall, my skin is much smoother and the fine lines that were starting to appear have disappeared! I have had nothing but a wonderful experience at MD Skin Effects. Dr. Mangat is extremely professional, qualified and educated about the effects of the treatments that she has provided to me. Additionally Karen Larson is just about as good as they come! I have been going for treatments with Karen and Dr. Mangat for about 6 months and while the results certainly don't happen overnight, they have happened and my skin is transformed. When I started coming for the microderm I couldn't help but look at Karen's skin and wish mine looked that great, and now Karen has gotten my skin to look good too! I have purchased most of the products that Karen has suggested. The best thing about the products is they aren't the most expensive ones on the market, in fact more often than not they are cheaper than the department store products and THEY WORK. I went for Botox and for help with my acne. They sold me some expensive face wash. I used it for 2 weeks waiting for it to work it and it instead made my skin 100 times worse! I explained the problems with my skin to the doctor's assistant but she just looked at me like I was gross and I actually started crying right there.. I walked in there with terrible skin and was treated like I was asking for too much by expecting the face wash to work and for them to help me. They just kept trying to sell me makeup and facials. They are incapable of helping anyone with acne. I would avoid this place because clearly, they are uneducated about the treatment of acne.In addition, the Botox didn't work on my tiny little lines! I don't think they gave me as much as they say they did! I'm very suspicious! I'm going elsewhere! I am so glad that I have found MD Skin Effects, Dr. Mona Mangat and Karen Larson. Together they have begun to make me beautiful. I am going through a series of microdermabrasion and the Jessner chemical peel for my face and after just one treatment of both I can already see such an improvement in my skin. I have struggled with adult acne and dark spots and their treatments are making such a difference. As soon as I walked into the office I felt welcomed. Dr Mangat discussed the different treatment services with me and explained their skin care products as well. Absolutely Amazing!!! I was completely impressed with Dr.Mangat, her staff, the office and the great products and service during my appointment. For years, I have been trying all kinds of treatments, products and regimens for my facial skin. I had perfect skin up until my late twenties...then the nightmare began. My skin started to breakout, which led to scarring. I have seen numerous doctors and facialists, tried almost every product out there and even tried drinking rose hip tea to help clear up my skin.
