Lychee Garden

In one word, ""Awesome!"" The buffet is the best we have had anywhere. Their individual dishes are excellent too. My wife prefers ordering off menu. She has chicken and black bean sauce with water chestnuts and pea pods. They hit it spot on every time!\r \r I love their buffet! There are always a ton of choices, and the food is always hot. We have been going there for years and have always had a great dining experience. \r \r The service is friendly and they allow you to enjoy your meal without being too intrusive.\r \r As a former restaurant manager, I highly recommend Lychee Garden, if you want the best Chinese casual dining experience!!\r more

This is by far the best chinese restaurant I have ever been to!! Although I don't live in or even near Milwaukee,whenever I'm visiting my cousin, this is where we ALWAYS go! ! The staff is very friendly and accomodating!! If there isn't something on the menu, just ask, and chances are they can make it for you! Amazing service, Amazing food, and reasonable prices... who could ask for anything more?!?!? I highly recommend anyone who has never had the pleasure to eat at Lychee Garden, GO THERE ASAP!! You will not be disappointed!! I highly recommend their Pu Pu Platter or their Kobe beef filet while sipping on the best Cosmo I have ever tasted!!! Enjoy!! more

I went here on the recommendation of my brother b/c we live on the east side and hardly ever get this far south. I can't speak for the buffet of the previous reviewer but I've always been one to stay away from those things in the first place. There almost always nasty. I'm thinking it was a fluke at the end of the lunch hour or something. \r \r However if you're talking about a real dinner off of the dinner menu I can't remember having Chinese this good. There is a tenderloin steak sizzling rice beef dish that is just amazing, with absolutely the most flavorful and tender steak imaginable. Additionally, there is a seafood combo dish that is ridiculous with shrimp and crab and scallops in it that is succulent and fresh. The crab rangoon had more crab than cream cheese which you almost never find. \r \r That's all I really had but everyone in our party was raving about the food. You don't stay in business for over 25 years with crappy Chinese. \r \r I've been eating Asian around this city for over 30 years and only two places compare: the authentic Chinese at Fortune on Highway 100 and Oklahoma is better and Hopsheng Gourmet that used to be on Murray Avenue was as good. The ambience at this one is better than the diner atmosphere on Highway 100 and HopSheng has closed so this is it. \r \r Come here for dinner and have the tenderloin dish or the seafood combo and you'll keep coming back. We had the most awful experience at Lychee Garden today. The Buffet had very little selection and what was there was cold and flavorless. In addition, the waitress was rude and crude to us. My a scene being sure we understood that she would charge for the refills. We will NEVER go back. too bad there is no rating below 1 star! more
