Lux

I have always been very nervous about hair dressers/appointments. I have had so much bad luck with hair dressers...really just a history or terrible haircuts. Having said that, I walked into Lux practically shaking and walked out of Lux shining. I have been there twice now and have decided that they are the salon for me. I will go nowhere else. I have worked with Marian and Mallory and they are both just very sweet and patient. The first time I walked in I had no idea what I wanted to do and Marian was very patient with me and talked me through multiple options and the end result they would have. The second time I had mallory and I walked in knowing exactly what I wanted and I had confidence the Lux could do it for me. The second time I went a little more extreme and chopped it all off. I donated 12 inches to Locks for Love and they gave me everything I needed to donate. I walked out of there yet again feeling amazing!! Thank you, Lux, for ridding me of a very long and terrible phobia of hairdressers. more

Having my hair done at Lux is wonderful place for some ""me"" time. Everyone is professional and friendly; he atmosphere is very inviting; a beverage is offered; and I'm always happy with the results. I am often indecisive when I come in, but whether it's Nathan or Mallory (the two who I generally work with), they patiently talk me through what it is I want to achieve. Everyone walks out looking great! more

I went in for a body wave, came out with a spiral perm. I had a consultation a few days before, my stylist was sure she understood what I wanted. When I went in, she began the process. I questioned her every move because I wasn't sure it was going to produce the result I wanted. I guess I had the right to be concerned because this is sooo NOT what I wanted. Before I left I told her the curls were too tight, she assured me that I would love it. The only thing I'm sure of is that I don't love it. I am going in tomorrow to have them see the damage, and hopefully get my $85 refunded. Pros: nice atmosphere, offers beverages Cons: Didn't listen to what i wanted more

As a newcomer to this area, I had a very difficult time finding a hairdresser. After nearly 20 years with my last one, I was pretty nervous about making a change. I was actually referred to LUX by another salon in the area, that was unable to fit me in. I was very impressed with the care taken to make everyone comfortable. The employee who actually cut and colored my hair took her time, and made sure I was 100% satisfied before I left. I've already scheduled my next appointment, and look forward to it! Pros: Comfortable atmosphere, Talented staff Cons: None Yet! more
