1 star Lacking In Customer Service and Etiquette 3/27/2011

I visited the store in Pasadena today around 3 p.m. I walked in and no one welcomed me or spoke when I came in. I didn't think much about it and proceeded to wash my hands with the honeysuckle soap tester they had displayed next to a bowl with a water pitcher in it. I removed the pitcher from the bowl and lathered my hands with soap. That's when I was rudely "greeted" by a saleswoman that asked me if I needed help. I told her no. She then informed me that I was not allowed to use the products on display without her assistance because I was using the product inproperly (as she was saying this she was looking at her manager and smirking). I asked her how should I have washed my hands and she proceeded to tell me everything under the sun except answer my question. I asked her over four times to "show" me how she would've applied the product differently but she refused. She then went on to remove the product from the display and her "manager" Steve, called security to have me escorted out of the store. I left before "security" arrived, but returned to get the number of the corporate office. I arrived just in time to speak with the person dispatched and informed her (Claudia) of what happened. While in the store talking to the security officer and explaining what had taken place only 10 minutes prior, the security officer that HE dispatched to the store on a bogus complaint, Steve asked me to leave, claiming that I was disturbing the other customers (there were only two) and threatened to call the police. I stepped outside to continue my explanation of the events with the security officer and left thereafter. But while I was there I noticed that there was an Asian couple were not being assisted by the any of the staff, and I pointed that out to the security, and they were handling and testing products without the assistance of Steve or the rude saleswoman that harrassed me in the store for not using staff to assist me with my use. The bottom line is they didn't want me in the store. 1 star rating is too much credit. more

I'm a LUSH addict... 7/20/2006

OH, Lush...what to say? The first time I walked in, I wasn't sure of the place, the smell was strong, and I tried to figure out why someone would pay $7 for a fizzie for the bath...A while later I received a birthday gift of Lush products from a friend who is an Addict++. Well, I slowly crossed to the black side and have since turned most of my friends into Lushies as well. The Pasadena store is great and we are SOOO lucky to have a lush in our town! They have an incredible return policy for all of their goods and give generous samples of facial and haircare products. The soaps, moisturizers, shampoos, etc, appear to be so pricey...but they all last 5x longer than any other commercial product available. I have used 2 small bottles of shampoo in the last YEAR....I usually went through a bottle of pantene every month! Lush has "parties" every month or so- sign up and spend over $35 and get a generous goodie bag! (aka, HUGE samples). Take a peek, every girls dream. more

Review for LUSH Cosmetics 4/14/2006

I recently placed an order off of the LUSH website and received my package the other day. I was a little frustrated because it took quite some time for my order to be shipped, but I learned that they just had a huge promotion around the same time I placed my order so they were a little overwhelmed. Sadly the products I ordered leaked a bit while in transit. I emailed them about the problem and asked them if it would effect the products I bought. I got a reply a day and a half later. I was very satisfied with their customer service. They apologized for the leaky products and are sending me two brand new products asap at no extra cost to me. They even said that the leaking shouldn't effect the products and that I didn't have to send them back and to play with them until I received my new products. A+++ on service, even though it took a while to receive my order. Plus their Ocean Salt Face and Body Scrub rocks! more
