Worst hair cut I have ever had. It is choppy, does not lay well, and lacks symmetry. The stylist Brian used products that were too heavy for my hair, leaving it limp and lifeless. He obviously did not have enough experience with different types of hair. I am new to Park City and tried this salon based on ""good reviews"". It was a big expensive mistake for me. I am embarrassed and depressed about the look of my hair. I will be flying into my hometown next week to have my previous stylist try to even out my hair. I am horribly disappointed. This is the first time I have walked out of a salon feeling much worse than when I walked in. I should have done more research on the particular stylist. Do your research. Beware!\r more

Brian Pearce is the best! I had an excellent experience and would strongly recommend him to any and all. He gave me a great cut and a wonderful color. The deep condition was amazing, my hair feels so healthy! He knew exactly what I wanted and did an amazing job. My hair looks seriously sick! The salon is light and airy, friendly staff, great atmosphere. I can't say enough great things about my salon experience. I love my new hair and am now officially loyal Fringe customer. Jake is the absolute BEST stylist I have seen. Lunatic is edgy yet upscale. Scalp massage included in shampoo is nearly orgasmic (not to be gross). Jake is the only stylist I have seen at this location but I would recommend him to anybody. He is truly talented, so much so he makes it look effortless and before you know it your done. To go ""Lunatic"" has become a part of my everyday vocabulary and I am proud to say I have converted many others to enjoy the Lunatic experience. Growing up in the city and getting my hair done at Tony and Guy I was frustrated living in Park City as I could never find any salon that could compare. I ended up hearing about Lunatic Fringe and would drive down to the 7th east location to get my hair done. I was thrilled when Lunatic opened in Park City and enjoy every minute of my time there....as a friend says, ""Lunatic brings a little more happiness to my life"". I have always had positive experiences from the scalp massage, to the amazing blow out. This is one of the few places in the world who has ever been able to round brush with perfection. It is also obvious that training is an important part of the stylists lives as they are competent and I would trust anyone staffed there to do my hair. Love it!! more

Jake and Jared do such a great job! I always get a great cut and color here from either of these stylists. I also love the pampering. This is the first salon that I have had two people drying my hair at once - what service! more

I didn't like it.\r I went in for a cut and highlight. Paid $180.00 for both, plus tips.\r The person who did my hair didn't have much experience. The highlights were ok, the cut, terrible. \r I think for the price they charge, I was expecting more than just a ""chain"" type of service. more

Lunatic Fringe Park City should be viewed as the most trustworthy salon in Utah. The stylists really listen to what you want and are able to deliver just that! The salon provides an atmosphere that feels professional, peaceful and comfortable. They are able to carry this off because they have some of the most confident and talented people in the business all under one roof. more

I have been in Utah for three years now and I haven't been very impressed by the salons. my friend recommended Lunatic Fringe and I liked her cut and color so I tried it out. I felt like I was in LA again. Everyone was really nice and upbeat and the salon itself was really clean. My hair looked better than it ever had and my stylist taught me how to do my hair so that I can make it look the same at home. The color was amazing and it hasn't faded at all, The cut was exactly what I wanted and then some. Thank goodness for Lunatic Fringe. I left the salon feeling great and I have never had so many compliments on my hair. more

I should have known not to take an appointment with whoever was available, but I was desperate for some root coloring. I got an appointment with a darling young girl who, three painstaking hours later, had turned my tropical golden blonde hair into a dull mousy brown with deep dark died roots. It looks like I dumped a bottle of a very wrong shade of blah on my head. I seriously would have been far better served to have gone to RiteAid and purchased a $9 bottle of Clairol. I've lived all over the world, in a lot of places where people don't have my color hair, and it's NEVER been as messed up as Lunatic Fringe did it. To her credit, the stylist realized it looked horrendous and offered to have me come back today to fix it. But of course I was still charged $150 to look like a doormat with a tattooed ring around my hairline. I went back today with limited time available. A senior person tried to do what he could in an hour...and it STILL looks terrible. Dull, drab, ash-brown, with roots so dark, they are purple-ish. So NOW I have to come back for another three hour stint to have them correct the original bad 'do. Who has SEVEN HOURS to spend getting their hair done???? And until they can find time to fit me in, I need to attend my meetings and fund-raising event and greet my sister who hasn't seen me for 6 months looking like some washed-out dull mouse. Thank you, Lunatic Fringe. (If they fix it, I'll write another review to let you know. Until then, do NOT go to this salon to get your hair color done unless you have serious time to waste while they get it right.) P.S. Three days later, as I'm getting over the shock of the color...I've realized I also got the worst haircut of my life by the same gal! She essentially gave me the world's longest shag hair cut. It's AWFUL. Bottom line: I went to Lunatic Fringe looking for a beauty lift--a little color at the roots, a light trim of my locks--and instead I got a beauty bummer. Instead of feeling great, I feel ugly. NOT what a ""beauty"" salon is supposed to serve up to its clients. I should mention that everyone at the salon HAS been very nice and accommodating, which is small consolation for having to walk around looking like this, but it does ease the ugly a bit. SEVERAL DAYS LATER (this thing won't let me write a separate review): Jared set me up: had the staff fawn all over me while he fixed the 'do-gone-wrong of the above review. It took hours, but I am thrilled with the result and grateful for the willingness of the salon to fix the fugly mistake. No additional charge and a nice little gift bag to boot. I appreciate anyone who apologizes for wrong-doing and Lunatic Fringe not only apologized, they fixed it 100% with grace and class. Thank you! Probably the best take-away here in this review for you reading it is to ask ahead of time who has expertise in color. Jared certainly does and I'm sure others at the salon do, too. more

Love these people. They all do an amazing job and work amazing together. A family is what they are and they're always doing amazing work :) Miss them all. more

I really appreciate the culture that this salon has to offer. When you walk in its like you're a family member and everyone always says hello. I adore that everyone works as a team, and everyone is happy to be there. Yes they're prices can be steep, but you could always go to a different level of stylist and all the other stylist's are willing to help and if anyone ever walks away unhappy they are more than happy to have them come back and attempt to give them what they want.....you can't please everyone, and some people are just too picky, but they do try their hardest. Great management and great people all together. Good job :) more

Simply the best. New to Utah and the Park City area. So glad I found this place. Parking was a bit tricky and I was late because I couldn't find them. Aside from that, I was so impressed. I recommend you try more

First off, I'm a beauty junkie. I love new product, awesome information and I ADORE trying new things. One thing I definitely don't adore is outrageous prices for a simple haircut and trashy, smashy talk while I'm having a service done. I was shocked at how freely casual the staff was, throwing around loose conversation and low-brow gossip. I'm a Park City local and I understand how small towns work, but I was NOT paying to hear awful gossip about people I know -- it was simply unprofessional! The stylist claimed to know many people she spoke of, yet through her broad assumptions and generalizations, it was very clear she did not. I was also dismayed at the second-rate cut and color I received for $250. I've seen better styles walking out of a SuperCuts! The color was dull, sad and lifeless -- and I have gorgeous hair and am 25. If I could give them a negative star, I would. How pathetic. more

If you are looking for fun professional staff then Lunatic Park City is the place to go. The hair stylists are knowledgeable in creating a look that will suit your personality and face structure. I barely have to say what I want; the look is made for me as if the stylist is reading my mind. I have sent many people to this salon and have never had one bad response. All I have to say is that for once, I am so incredibly pleased with my haircut. I have gone to several different hair salons, but with no luck finding an individual who would cut/color the way I want, or even close for that matter. Lunatic fringe is a great place to get your hair done. If you live in Park City you know how expensive highlights or hair cuts can be, but this salon I love! They are very attentive and priced very well compared to other hair places in the area. The salon welcoming, comfortable and decorated very nicely. All of the staff are friendly, obviously love their jobs amd the environment they work in - which makes it a real enjoyable experience. They have multiple locations and appointments super are easy to make. They work weekends and late on evenings. So even if you have a full time job and you need a 6pm appointment, they can do it. It?s nice to know that not all businesses are set on normal working hours!\r I highly recommend that you pay the crew at Lunatic Fringe a visit! more

I went to Lunatic Fringe in Park City and was very impressed. I usually don't write reviews, but this place is so great. I was told by others it was too overpriced, but their stylists are honestly the best in Utah, so it's worth it in my opinion. From the very beginning I was greeted in a warm, friendly manner. The receptionist (A cute, little brunette girl) was so sweet and helpful upon my arrival that I felt comfortable immediately. My hair is very thick and porous and my stylist suggested the most amazing products (Loreal Kerastase line) that truly did improve my hair! My stylist also suggested the 'right colors' for my skin tone and gave me beautiful, dimensional color that made such a difference in my appearance. I've gotten so many compliments so far. Their stylists are so up to date on everything as well. Great experience from beginning to end--I cant wait to try the other Lunatic Fringe salons in Salt Lake as well! Pros: Beautiful Decor, great staff Cons: a little pricey, but worth it more

I was looking for a new look.... My stylist, Jake, gave me a great color and an amazing cut. Highly recommended for the experience and shampoo!!! I've been following the winter season's from NZ to Park City for sometime & have struggled to find a hairstylist in Park City that was fashion forward & knew a lot about hair.\r I was recommended to Lunatic Fringe-Sugarhouse in Salt Lake City by a close friend.\r My experience at Lunatic Fringe in Salt Lake was exceptional. After my experience, I became aware of the Lunatic Fringe in Park City.\r The educated stylists, hip environment, great service, combined with it's convenience made my experience at the Lunatic Fringe Park City unreal.I'll never go anywhere else! more
