Luna showed us a VERY good time... 6/10/2010

I just wanted to stop by and write a few words about my experience in Baltimore this week. My friends and I went to Orioles game and just happened to stop by Luna Del Sea for the dinner. Being located in the very heart of the city, not only has it provided a marvelous view, but it also has surprised me with the perfect staff and the food that was beyond our expectations!!! If you guys are going for a perfect atmosphere and delicious dinner, then Luna Del Sea is definitely the place to go! I?m looking forward to my next visit to Baltimore city and of course my now favorite restaurant!!! Pros: extremely close to Oriole Park Cons: i can't think of any! more

Perfect Evening Out...! :) the memories! 6/10/2010

A few friday nights ago, my friends and I were leaving the Orioles game and wanted to find a place close by for some food. We walked across Pratt and found Luna Del Sea. The food is great and we really liked the fact that they have outdoor seating. We were gonna leave and meet some people at one of the clubs, but all of a sudden, Luna had its own DJ and the music was off the hook! It got really crowded and we decided to stay and have our friends come there! Great drinks, decent prices, and a DJ? What more can you ask for? We have already been back twice! Pros: my husband was craving guiness beer and they had it more

ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS 6/10/2010

Great atmosphere. Professional and friendly staff. Their food is yummy and fresh! Pros: DJ, outdoor bar, garden patio, great atmosphere more

i love luna 6/10/2010

As a dental student living in the downtown Baltimore area, there are several options of places to eat. Among these Luna Del Sea far exceeds the rest. The seafood is exceptionally fresh and appetizing. The welcoming and accommodating staff creates the ideal dining atmosphere! My classmates and I always choose Luna as the place to celebrate for our post exam dinners. It?s the perfect place to people-watch while enjoying our favorite meals and cocktails. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone interested in the best Baltimore dining experience. Pros: the people that come in are fun and upper class more

FAVORITE BALTIMORE RESTAURANT 6/9/2010

Aqua is like no other club in Baltimore. It was perfect for a girl?s night out. The atmosphere was beautiful; everything from the comfortable lounges, sound system, and lighting was great! My girls and me did not want to get off of the dance floor, and when we did our table was very nice to sit down at. The best way to enjoy Aqua is to book a table for bottle service especially if its a group of people your going with. If you?re looking for something different Aqua is the place to go! Pros: strong drinks, outdoor porch, side patio, people watching! more

Way over priced! 6/28/2009

Good crab cakes, but not worth the price. Charged extra for everything added- bacon on the potato, after ordering a $39 entree! Would not go back or recommend. Pros: good crab cakes Cons: very over priced more

This restuarant delivered ABOVE AND BEYOND my expectations 11/9/2008

I had a group of 19 friends to go to dinner with and to see the Trans Siberian Orchestra on 11/6/08. I really needed to find a great restaurant and Luna Del Sea was it. I looked at many menus, but when I talked to Christenia, the Director of Marketing for Luna Del Sea, I knew that I was in the right hands. She was professional, confident, funny and extremely personable. Pros: Everything. If you want incredible food, service and atmosphere, this is the place Cons: It was warm when we arrived, but as soon as we asked for the AC to be turned on, they did it. Who would have thought in November, you would need the air conditioning. more

BEST STEAK & SEAFOOD I HAVE EVER HAD 9/21/2008

I READ SOME OF THE REVIEWS & I THOUGHT LUNA DEL SEA WAS EXCELLENT. THE FOOD WAS FRESH & MY DATE REALLY ENJOYED HER SELF AS WELL. WE HAD DINNER & CONTINUED OUR EVENING BY ENJOYING JAZZ IN THERE BALLROOM( DID I MENTION LIVE, JAZZ) THE SEVICE WAS OUTSTANDING AS WELL, OUR WAITER WAS FRIENDLY AS WELL AS THE DINNING ROOM MANAGER. ANOTHER PLUS THE RESTAURANT HAS IS THAT THEY OFFER A FREE DOOR TO DOOR SHUTTLE , WHICH IS A REAL NICE THING FOR THEM TO OFFER GUESTS. IF YOU WANT GOOD FOOD, TRY LUNA DEL SEA IT IS WELL WORTH IT. Pros: DINNER & LIVE ENTERTAINMENT IN ONE LOCATION Cons: ALWAYS CROWED, RESEVATIONS SUGGESTED more

YUMMY CRABMEAT STUFFED FISH! 7/22/2008

Yummy Yummy Yummy! I visited last night with a group of co-workers. Pros: Fresh fish made to order Cons: Slow service more

Great Place for an Anniversary Dinner 7/16/2008

Tuesday was our Anniversary so we wanted to go someplace special. We have now discovered a new favorite for Baltimore. The menu took a while to get through with all of the selections but we were ably assisted but not hurried by Dieter, our server. A glass of house wine and some fresh, hot bread and Olive Oil for dipping started us off on a delightful meal. We had Oysters Rockefeller and Luna Seafood Bisque followed by a Seafood Trio and a Filet Mignon + Crabcake. Very delicious, perfectly cooked, and served at a nice pace. Our dessert, which we usually pass on, was too tempting. Bannanas Foster prepared at tableside by Antonio, the General Manager. Portions were very generous so we will be enjoying the meal again today. Except for the dessert - what a show and what a great way to eat fruit! Go visit and see for yourself. Ask for Antonio and he will take good care of you. more

Hearty food, good prices, mixed crowd 7/14/2008

I?m a student at University of Baltimore, and a friend of mine recommended Luna Del Sea to me. I stopped by Sunday night hoping I could get light fare ? something for under $15. The experience was a nice surprise. My waitress recommended the cream of broccoli soup that I ordered with warm bread and herbed olive oil. I vacillated between a glass of house wine and San Pellegrino, and since I was already tired I ordered the San Pellegrino. The soup was by far one of the best cream soups I?ve had. It is not for the faint-hearted. The cream is heavy cream simmered with an elegant white wine, and tastes almost as good as if it had come from an old-fashioned creamery. As I watched the rain pour down outside amidst claps of thunder, my tummy felt warm and cozy. The only thing missing was a fire. Pros: hearty food, friendly staff, good value Cons: parking, but they have a shuttle more

Best Crab Cakes in the USA bar none,, 7/7/2008

This resturant is a true gem, and the Crab Cakes are to die for and are simply out of this world. Pros: convient to shopping and the Ball Park Cons: little noisey but is to be expected from a very busy street if dinning outside which I did inside dinning avl. also, little cramped but worth it. more

Great atmosphere, great food, great service 7/3/2008

We had a wonderful relaxing dinner (and drinks!) at this place and would highly recommend it. The muscles were my fav - very plump and juicy. Lots to choose from on the menu.....stuffed jalapeno to stuffed fish. Service was right on too. Enjoyed sitting in the bar area - relaxed and had fun while watching the game. Can't get great food while doing this at most places. Glad someone had recommended this place and plan to go back! Pros: food and atmosphere more

Best Crab Cakes 6/29/2008

These were the best crab cakes I have ever had. perfectly executed, huge jumbo lumps with no breading. Great staff including the shuttle driver who picked us up and took us back to our hotel. We are getting two crab cake sandwiches delivered in the morning. Pros: restaurant shuttle Cons: nada more

One of our favorites. 6/20/2008

Hard to imagine anyone not liking this place. We have always had terrific service and the food has always been plentiful and delicious. I would definetly recommend the chicken parmesan, don't know how they prepare it but it just melts in your mouth. We always have some leftovers to take home for lunch the next day and they are not expensive, they are competitive. I'm not sure if some of the people who stated they were expensive eat anywhere but McDonalds. It's the city, get real! There is a parking garage less than a block away so parking is not a problem. Like I said we have always had great service and have met the owner several times. He takes a lot of pride in his establishment. I would highly recommend this place. Pros: Great food for the money more

Avoid this rip off establishment 6/7/2008

Way over priced for the quality of food and ambiance. Major mistakes made with our order that were handled inappropriately. Pros: Location for a baseball game Cons: Mostly everything more

Avoid it 6/2/2008

I can only repeat what others have said. Our shrimp appetizer was so overcooked it was completely tasteless with the consistency of cardboard. The lump crabcake gave every appearance of being frozen and was bland beyond belief. My rockfish was good. But the price for a less than poor meal for two was $120 before tip. That included one Sam Adams and one glass of wine. Be warned. Avoid this place. Cons: Food quality, price more

Avoid this place, terrible food, terrible service 3/19/2008

I did show up at around 9pm so it is possible that the terrible service and food was due to their closing at 10pm.... I do not know of a lot of restaurants who close that early. Our waitress was terrible. I believe we saw her a total of 3 times. To pick up our order, to drop off our food, and to take our check (We waited 20 minutes to get our check and that was after another waitress had to go find her. She was apparently sitting at the bar chatting it up). The food was terrible. The fish was inedible and the steamed vegetables were slathered in oil green beans. We paid $30-$40 for each of our meals. I do not normally care about price but you couldn't give me enough money to go back to be ignored and to have this ""food"" put in front of us. There are other restaurants half a mile way at the Inner Harbor that are much better. Go there and stay away from this ""restaurant"". Pros: It was near our hotel. Cons: Below Average Food, Terrible Service, No Value more

5 stars 2/26/2008

We had a great time here. The owner down to the busboy all made sure everything was perfect. The server knew th menu so well that we did not even look at it. We had 5 courses all of which were to die for. I have been in the industry for two decades. This is the kind of place that I would call home as a customer. Cakebread chardonnay with a cold app, of jumbo lump crab, shrimp, and maine lobster. greek salad topped w/ blackened chicken, cream of crab soup, surf and turf (one of many surf and turf options...) filet mignon and huge lobster tail stuffed with crab imperial. rum soaked cake with pineapple mousse and van. cream icing. of course a couple clipper city pale ales and a nice irish coffee to boot. AMAZING.....GREAT SERVICE TOO. ASHLEY was not only the cutest girl in baltimore but a great server. we tipped her 35% Pros: everything Cons: parking but they picked us up in their big van more

A seafood that is different 2/10/2008

I want to tell about an experince that i had, Pros: freindly, Cons: not a second place like it more
