Worst

The place looks cool, with neon lights illuminating the bowling lanes and plasma TVs with the Sox game on everywhere. But lines for lanes later in the night can be up to two hours...

Jillians is a great place to be! 8/9/2011

Its fun when you are cheering for the same team as everyone else. The food and drinks here are alright. But when you're watching sports here you're usually at the bar ordering drinks so not much I can say bottom line, for sports fans, Jillians is a great place to be! more

A pretty cool place 7/26/2011

First of all - this is a pretty cool place to bowl! You've got the chill-lounge couches, huge space, exposed brick and arched industrial windows, pimped-out bowling lanes, etc. They added some artistic flair to this place that makes the experience pretty unique to the old-school spots I'm used to where you still use paper and pencil to track your scores. Believe it or not this was my first experience with the auto-scoring flat screens above our heads. Very cool. Call up 5 of your good friends, come here around 8 or 9pm on a Thursday night, stake out a lane, and order a few rounds of beers to wash down your gutterballs. Enjoy. more

Jillian's is close to work, which is why we come here sometimes. They also have pool tables, and of course booze. more

The third floor is way better, where you can chill on the couches and drink while waiting for your lane to open. more

I love this place 7/14/2011

I love this place! The times that I've gone the atmosphere has been great for us pool players. I've never done the bowling as I've always came out to play some pool, get some good food if I decide to splurge, and get some drinks. From what I've experienced--if you play pool and want to be treated well--then this is the spot to be. I've mostly gone on Saturday night's so this is where my review is coming from. more

My favorite place for bowling 7/8/2011

This is definitely my favorite place for bowling. The group of friends I went with had a blast here chatting & laughing as we bowled. They don't allow those annoying 'tims' style boots as well, which keeps everyone coming in looking neat & sociable, which is a big plus. None of my friends dress like that anyway, so it would never be an issue for any of us at the door, but we saw the bouncers turning sketchballs in ghetto gear away, and were pretty happy they weren't going to be sharing the space with us. more

So much better than other places 6/30/2011

We went to Lucky Strike last Saturday night and had a great time. We had to wait for the lanes but had drinks and appetizers while we waited. This place is so much better than other places we have gone to bowl, and the dj who is right there in the middle of everything had us dancing at the lanes. We will definitely go back to see our new favorite bartender and hope our friends at Lane 9 will come back too. more

Awesome! 6/23/2011

In the Allston/Brighton area with nothing to do at 11pm, Jillians is extremely promising to keep you entertained. It's a great place to just go to and chill/eat/grab a couple of drinks. The bowling lanes on the 3rd floor are awesome: The lighting is dark, the lanes are lit up in a particular way, and there are couches/booths around as well to lounge. more

Great game day choice 6/17/2011

I did Tequila Rain during world cup as well, and the service was prompt and the waiters were very friendly and knowledgeable, so overall, this is one of my favorite spots in the Kenmore area, and a great game day choice. There's always lots of fans and the atmosphere is pumped up in Tequila Rain the day of a home game. more

Very interesting 6/13/2011

Very interesting to go to a place that has all three of these things combined in one place. The bar was a great place to knock a couple brews down. They have a decent selection, but kept to my favorite beer. They have plenty of tables and seats around, so finding a place to sit is no problem. For all you smokers, there's an upstairs lounge area at the top with heat lamps so you don't have to fight the cold weather to have a cig (you know what I'm talking about, switch hands after two drag method). As far as the bowling lanes, there are a couple lanes on the first level where the bar and pool tables are located, but they have plenty more lanes above. he pool tables are all 9-foot tables and not the bar boxes that I normally see in California. more

Great place to relax 6/13/2011

Ended up staying at Jillian's for the night. That's what this place does to you...it makes you stay foreverrrr since there's so many activities to do. Jillian's is a chill venue to go relax with some long time buddies. more

Awesome party! 6/10/2011

So last night I rented 3 lanes with food and open bar for me and 14 of my friends. The event planner I worked with was Eileen. She was incredibly responsive by email and super-nice, knowledgeable, and helpful. The package I ordered came with 2 hours of open bar, 3 lanes (with shoe rental), and tons of food: grilled chicken skewers with honey mustard dipping sauce, BBQ chicken tenders with ranch dipping sauce, cheese and pepperoni pizzas, and spinach dip with tortilla chips. We also got a platter of huge chocolate chunk cookies (hot) at the end of the night. The price was $60/pp + tax and tip. more

Great fun way to spend the day 6/9/2011

Going to Lucky Strike Lanes is a must for any hot or stormy day! This place is state-of-the-art high tech madness and my kids love every bit of it. The prices are not bad at all, and the amount of fun you get here is enough to knock your socks off. My kids never want to leave once we stop here, so we usually end up staying for several hours. I enjoy every second of it though, and so do my kids. more

Outstanding service! 6/9/2011

I believe the waitresses name is Marissa. No matter where are table is she is usually our waitress. When no waitress has approached us for awhile she finally gets a waitress to come up and take our order even though she probally walked by us 5 times!! She always remembers our drink order even if we dont come in for two months. She has made our trips to JIllians worth while because we can count on repetitive checks for drinks and she doesnt blend in the backround like the other ones!! Request her for a good night of customer service!!!! more
