Not a Great Store 11/24/2009

I would like to reply to the person who replied Lucky Exchange has a bad reception to African American. I, being african american in her mid 20's have felt the bad reception might not be just due to my race. I believe, it's just overall bad customer service PERIOD. It doesn't involve anything more than just minimal verbal exchange and an attitude that elicit's a slap in the face. I'm a very outgoing african american, not a diva. I am of nothing but polite overgraciousness and doesn't deserve to be snickled at for my clothes!!! Pros: fashionably aware Cons: Bad Customer Service more

Great Store! 9/14/2008

I would also like to respond to the nasty comment about ""people of color beware!"" I have been into the lucky exchange multiple times bringing in my clothes, i am a women of color too and i have never had a problem. There workers are respectful and say a hello when you come in. I'm highly doubt that it only took them 30 seconds to look at your clothes im sure the worker took time into looking at them. Sometimes it does not matter whether the clother are designer or not it depends if the shop is full at the time or your clothes just so happen not to work so well with the store. I'm pretty sure none of this had to do with the color of your skin! try not to take it personal, did you ever think it was maybe the clothes you brought in? Pros: Awesome! Cons: none. more

Good for shopping; not so much for selling. 5/21/2008

This place is great - as long as you're a shopper. Tons of great selections to look through, at very reasonable prices. I'd recommend it to anyone interested in nice vintage clothes. I did feel like I was low-balled when I tried to sell some things, though. I was offered $10 for three vintage items. That's a little more than $3 each - all while I perused the store and found nothing cheaper than $20. Not a huge deal; it was still my choice. I just didn't leave with a good feeling about the way this place treats sellers. I just should not have gotten greedy. My old stuff should go to Goodwill (pickup in the murder Kroger parking lot), where it belongs. Pros: Great selection. Cons: Not a wonderful environment for sellers. more

CHECK IT OUT 5/9/2008

I have been to many second hand stores and this one is the BEST! Alot of nice selections from the dresses, to the shoes, to the jewelry! I went in and spent more money than I expected! The place was very neat as well. And.............the prices were just right. CHECK IT OUT! Cons: PARKING, PRICE, CLOTHES, SELECTION more

incredible hidden selection, best used clothing in atlanta 4/11/2008

the Lucky Exchange has never failed to impress me with its selection - including and especially its selection of cute dresses - which are so hard to find at most vintage stores, and usually very expensive.\r Whereas the shops in little five points tend to be overpriced and incredibly picked over, the lucky exchange's two hidden stores (one on ponce, one on moreland - in east atlanta/ormewood park area) always have TONS of stuff to look through, at amazing prices.\r Definitely the best vintage/used clothing store in atlanta - hands down. Pros: amazing, rare selection, incredible prices more

GREAT vintage clothing! 8/16/2007

I love shopping for vintage clothing, whether it be on ebay or in thrift stores, but this store is by far the best vintage store I've found! The customer service is great and the finds are amazing- I definately reccomend it! Prices are good too, not too expensive at all. Pros: very nice staff, great prices, chill environment more

Awesome Store! 8/3/2007

I had to write this review in response to the nasty review (people of color beware)! This store is awesome and the people that work there are always helpful and friendly! And no, they do not always buy all of my clothes and sometimes they buy none. I don't take it personally and neither should you. It has nothing to do with the color of your skin- only your clothes! Pros: Easy to shop! more

If you are a person of color, beware!!! 7/2/2007

I went to sell many of my designer clothes (i.e. Shelli Segal, BCBG, Guess, Tommy Hilfiger) to this shop. Within 30 seconds (without much perusing through my items), I was told my items were not at all acceptable. The worker treated me as second class, and I know that as soon as I walked in she treated me with very little respect. Her lost... more

How ""Lucky"" for Us! 11/14/2006

You won't be disappointed with this fabulous boutique - the ultimate in consignment shopping that sells great quality and high-end clothes and accesories for women AND men. The owner obviously has an eye for what's cool and stylish. The trick is to shop regularly to get the very best pieces - but I can always find something to bring home. It's well organized and service is super. Pros: Quality, Selection more

Awesome selection in vintage and secondhand clothing 10/31/2006

This store is quite the find! It is fun, funky, cool and refreshing. Its prices are very affordable and the quality is the best I have seen at a secondhand store in quite some time. I was amazed at what they had to offer in such a small shop. It is like a boutique secondhand clothing store. You get all the service from some great employees to the easy shopping of the well organized racks. I am an loyal customer!!!!!! Pros: well organized, easy to shop more

Overhaul your closet at Lucky Exchange! 10/17/2006

This store has something for everyone. The clothes are all in great condition, you can find both a classic pair of designer jeans and a really funky top all in one place. The staff is very helpful and above all, honest! Its like having your own personal Trinny & Susannah. Very highly recommended...go, now! Pros: service Cons: none~ more

The Lucky Exchange is awesome!!! 5/9/2006

This vintage/retro clothing boutique at the corner of Ponce de Leon and Myrtle St. may be small, but is packed with awesome apparel and accessories for both women and men. The prices are reasonable, the clothes are cool and stylish and, although used, look crisp and clean. The employees are also very helpful. Definitely check this place out! Pros: clothing selection, prices, employees Cons: nothing!!! more
