Great gym 2/15/2011

Forest hills is a community of wealthy women and its good to know that you don't have to pay an ARM and a LEG to get in shape. People assume just because people have money they want to spend all their money.... you get great classes, treadmills, ellipticals, circuit machines, and a sauna for $15/$20 a month.... can't beat it. Circuit machines aren't that great a little outdated... but for what you pay its worth the money! more

Good Gym Good Price 8/11/2010

The best thing about LR is that it is a standard gym with weights, machines, exercise machines, and lots of great classes, not to mention Babysitting services, which would otherwise cost a lot more. The price can't be beat, at $15 to $20 monthly, wow, I got the gold membership so a lot of things come included, like access to all other gyms, except a few in manhattan. the place is real clean and the classes are so much fun, I enjoy this gym a lot. more

YOU CAN NOT CANCEL YOUR MEMBERSHIP! DO NOT JOIN! 9/30/2009

I joined the gym when i first moved to Forest Hills, I am a college student, I have been to many gyms and this one was horrible. Classes were horrible, you have to wait to go on the treadmil and they refuse to cancel your membership even after your contract is up. They will not cancel it in the store and it does not matter if you moved(which i did). THEY DO NOT CARE! Till this day they keep charging me three months later and everytime i call their ""corporate"" office the phone is off the hook. I went to the attorney General about this and there have been many claims made against them. DO NOT JOIN THIS GYM! WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY! Pros: NOTHING Cons: they will keep charging you after your membership is up more

One of the worst gyms ever! 1/29/2009

I've been a member of this location since 2002 and when I first joined, the classes were great. So great that I would recomment and refer my friends to join. Over the years, the good instructors have moved on to bigger and better things and have been replaced by incompetant ones. Now the classes are terrible. There are only 2 days out the week in which you'll get a great class. Sure you can use the equipment, but the gym is so crowded, it's almost imposible to get a treadmil or elyptical machine. In this case you definitely get what you pay for. A measly $300 for a 2 year membership. I suggest you spend more and go to a better gym. Pros: Inexpensive Cons: Not many good instructors, rude staff, dirty bathrooms and it's over crowded more
