We want to thank Tammy for taking our phone call yesterday to get our tree planted that we were going to do ourselves, I talked to Tammy on 5-5-10 and the tree was planted on 5-5-10, we were amazed and pleased to have such great service. While she was helping us on the phone she was also helping another customer ring up a purchase. We will continue shopping at your business due to the great staff, also Michele helped us with buying the tree and she was very knowledgeable. more

Nice variety of plants and other landscape needs but rather pricey. I purchased two coral bell plants and wanted to exchange them for something different only 1 week later and was refused. I was told - in a very snotty tone - that the return policy is only 3 days. The ONLY time these people are nice to you is when they are taking your money!!! Well, there are plenty of other nurseries around who treat their customers a lot nicer and are much more flexible so that's where I will be shopping from now on - NOT at Lucas. Lack of personnel to assist customers. No computer connection to access answers to questions or design scaping. Owner's son draws in pencil for landscaping designs. Dismal experience. This business is from the 60's, and has stayed there. Pros: Lot's of Parking Cons: Sky High Prices more

When I was shopping landscape estimates, Bob Lucas Jr. came out to my home to sell a design. He was very pushy and wanted me to sign the contract that day. He was disappointed when I chose to think about it for a couple of days. On his return, I presented him with a scaled back design. He didn't want to give me the scaled back design because he said that it would not be appropriate for the size of my house. When he added on taxes, labor costs, etc.., I decided that I needed to think about it for a while. He was so angry that he grabbed up all his papers, stormed out of my house, and slammed my front door. When he commented on spending over an hour at my house, I advised him that I do not have these types of conversations with my customers. Cons: Poor Service, Pushy Tactics, and Unprofessional more

I HAD MY SOD AND LANDSCAPING DONE IN 2006. THE SOD PUT ON ONE POTION WAS VERY BAD QUALITY (ALMOST DEAD). THE LAND BECAME UNEVEN BECAUSE OF THAT. THE OWNER NEVER EVEN CAME TO CHECK ONCE THE QUALITY OF THE WORK. NO PHONE CALLS RETURNED. VERY POOR GRADING JOB DONE. NOT RECOMMENDED AT ALL more

I was displeased with the results of the seeds that they laid in my backyard. The work was done in Oct and I do not have any grass back there as of Feb 28. I also have issues with the sod that was laid in front yard. The trees I chose to use, when delivered were not of the best quality. Cons: Expensive, Not quality work more
