Do you ever have those days when you just have to get a massage right at that moment. I'm a massage therapist, btw. I thought I was going to freak out if I didn't get one that Saturday. I was running errands in Richardson and had limited time, but was determined to find something in the area close to Belt LIne and Coit. I could have gone in to get a chair massage from Whole Foods, but I really wanted a full body massage even if it was only 30 minutes. Fortunately, I saw a beautiful blue sign...Love Thyself Day Spa, and it was real...not some mirage in the desert. I was so excited! I called the number on the outside of the window while I was heading for my shot of wheat grass from WFM. I left a message and they immediately called me back. It turns out that I was totally in the flow of the Divine. They had a cancellation and I got in for a 90 minute therapeutic massage with Lisa, one of the owners, within minutes.
The lobby area was really nice and had unique beautiful blue chairs. I could tell the spa is committed to whole body health by their selection of products and books on the shelves.
Lisa took me into the quiet hallway where relaxing music was playing throughout the spa and into their couples massage room since the other treatment rooms were not available. Relaxing lighting, candles, and an entire wall covered with an ocean view mural was the backdrop to my massage. Lisa's massage was very nurturing, relaxing, yet firm when it needed to be. She is extremely intuitive and i love that about her. She was also very thorough, giving just the right amount of attention to all my tired extremities, back, shoulders, neck and head. I'm not sure what kind of oil or creme she used, but it was very nice and smelled wonderful. She is an extremely talented therapist and I will definitely go back for another massage. This time I will bring my boyfriend to experience a couple's massage. Can't wait...thanks again Lisa!!
