I am not sure where these other three people were eating. LOL. We come to this place about twice a week. I love Pappadeaux's, but cant afford to eat there (except special occassions) because the food is so expensive. This is a great alternative. The most expensive plate is about 15.99 and it has everything on it. The only thing I have tried that I just don't like is the crab cakes. I get the crawfish 1/2 and 1/2 (even though I always say I am going to try something new) and it's excellent. It's enough for me to eat there and take for lunch the next day at least. The owner is the greatest, always friendly, always greets us at the counter and comes out and says hi if he isn't back there cooking. The food is always hot and fresh and it's cooked to order. We went on Friday and the girl at the front counter, Monica, wasn't so nice but she looks like a high school kid, so, what do you expect. I have no complaints about this place. The cajun ranch for dipping is yummy. The oysters were cooked perfect, the alligator is cooked perfect and the crawfish ettoufee and crawfish tails are delicious. The best fried catfish!!!!! I can't say enough about this place, honestly. We used to eat at Wahoo's on 281 or that place on I10/Wurzbach (can't remember the name) and it is just as good if not better and way more reasonable. If you care to take the drive to the Forum, please try this place out, it is worth your while.
