My 12 year old started guitar lessons with one of their energetic instructors. The instructor worked exceptionally well with my son and had him up and going with the basics in no time. Lou Rose is a small family orientated store that delivers the personalized attention that is lacking in today’s bigger establishments. I’m very pleased with the service we’ve received and now enjoy watching (and listening) my son's progress with the guitar. more

Dont get a setup here 10/15/2008

Luthier botched two setups in a row first guitar came back unplayable second came back with high action and the wrong strings! $122 for a setup and didn't even get the right strings on it! Can't get anything right will not use again try another place for setups. Also inconvenient hours and only accept cash annoying to deal with... more

Botched two setups in a row first guitar was unplayable second had very high action will not use again very pricey for amateur level setup work steer clear! more

Top Notch Store 1/16/2007

I have been dealing with Lourose for perhaps 30 years or more and have always walked away with a positive experience. They have always given me excellent service and advice. Lourose has never had a problem going out of their way to help me out. I still find an excellent selection of guitars whenever I go there. The atmosphere is laidback and the staff is always knowledgable and polite. What a great store. Thanks Lourose. more

Okay store 7/20/2006

Lourose is a very small music store. It has a varied merchandise stock but their sheet music stock is not very large. Staff is helpful but it is sometimes difficult to locate a free one if they're busy with another customer. Prices are similar to the Sam Ash down the street. more

JUST OK 9/17/2005

My two sons, ages seven and ten, and one daughter, age thirteen, have been taking music lessons from Lourose for almost five years. The staff has been consistent. They have been able to motivate my kids so that they practice once and a while. The music always seems so outdated, perhaps being a little more with it would be helpful. The classrooms are a little outdated as well. more
