Best Indian Food 12/4/2006

Great food and impeccable service will greet you at Lotus. Casual yet elegant, with a retractable roof which is great in the summer. Hard to recommend one or two dishes here but the Tandoori Prawn Masala is a can't miss dish. Great Vegetarian offerings too, which makes it easy for a crowd. Best to have reservations on a weekend but easy in and out during the week. Wells staffed and attentive service make is a very pleasurable dinner. Pros: Ambience, Service, Food, great with kids more

Excellent Food, Friendly Service, Lovely Setting! 8/31/2006

This has to be my favorite restaurant in and around San Rafael. The food is authentic and sooo delicious, I have tried them all and can't even name my favorite, because the dishes are all great in their own right. Lots of vegetarian and organic choices too. And get this, you can even order online and take out in a jiffy, how cool is that! You just can't go wrong here. more

If you love true ethnic Indian food, this is the place to go! Very delicious curry dishes and naans. Also, great service and a somewhat quiet and cozy setting. So this would be an ideal place for a small group gathering or even a somewhat of a blind date deal. Price was average. more

Lotus has the best Indian food around town. The service is the friendliest and most attentive! The food is absolultely delicious and can suite any type of Indian food-lover. Thanks to the staff for an incredible experience, I'll be back! more

Lotus Cuisine of India is overall one of the best restaurant experiences my husband and I have had since moving here from NYC. The prompt, helpful and friendly service, ambience were wonderful, polished and effortless. The dishes vary for every type of diet and they were so well presented and DELICIOUS! The most authentic and flavorful Indian food I've eaten outside of India! So delicious I return as often as I can....and never grow tired of its wonderful flavors and scents. The service is gracious and attentive; the atmosphere comfortable and lovely. I cannot recommend this find of a restaurant more highly. Lotus cuisine is one of the best indian fine dinning in the Marin. You can dine under the open roof and best of all you have a really nice view. The food is GREAT especially the Chicken tikka masala that is one of the BEST. Lotus is really worthy of it's name. Lotus has been open since 1998 and it's still one of the best restaurants in the Marin and will be the best. The service and decor are impeccable. Service is great and especially the food. Lotus has the greatest Indian food in the Marin County. The owner is nice and polite to the coustmers. Pros: Crowded, Good Service, Good place to be more
