Lothlorien Woods Tree House

As the owner of a small buisness and a mother of a young one I choose my vacation time very carefully. The tree house accomodations offered by Roy ( the owner) provided a warm, welcoming, and highly relaxing getaway. The place is rustic, but I dont need cable tv and wi-fi at all times. What I do need, is a sanctuary, a place to reconnect with myself, nature, and my loved ones. With this in mind Lothlorien Woods could not be better. \r The Hot tub totally rocks! So does the funky ""swing-chair"" ( i acctually managed to read an entire book while in it ..) Lots to explore, beautiful hikes and friendly,but unintrusive owners. I will definitely be returning!!! more

Holy Moly! Imagine arriving at this two story treehouse to find a warm and welcoming fire lit in the traditional wood stove! Can there be a better welcome than the warmth of a home on a cold winter night? A rustic cabin built on the stilts of the ancient evergreens at the end of the road. There was this awesome obviously hand-made-with-love cedar log bed in the master bedroom with one of the best futon mattresses we've ever slept on, a fold-out futon couch in the living room, a stereo with an eclectic selection of music and it was neat and clean without being antiseptic. Did I mention a fully furnished kitchen (including cutlery and china), a nice barbecue and the AWESOME HOT TUB - THE PERFECT PLACE TO WATCH THE LIGHT OF THE MOON FILTER THROUGH THE TREES IN THE SWEET PEACE OF THE NIGHT! We'll for sure be returning many times over the years!! TOTALLY AWESOME! more

We,ve just returned from three nights at this Tree House which was not enough! This was one of the best ""little vacation"" spots we have been to. We were looking for a place to stay away from the hustle of a large city where there was peace, quiet and beautiful scenery --- we found it here in Lothlorien Woods Tree House! The house was clean and very cozy. I would recommend this place to anyone that would want to get away. Sooo much to see and do in the area. For us, it just wasn't enough time, because we enjoyed sitting on the porch, watching the birds, looking at the view and relaxing in the hot tub. We will definitely return there!! Love it, love it, love it. more

Watch out. I felt nervous sending a check in the mail as they do not take plastic. I knew I should have booked somewhere else. With cc you can get your money back / fight the charges but with check once they cash it your hard earned money is gone.\r \r Not really a treehouse. More like a shack a few feet off the ground. Broken heater (it was snowing outside), a space heater upstairs, and a small kitchen stove to keep you warm. Not to mention a horrible map on their website and an owner that does not care about you, just your money.\r \r Please stay at any of the nearby hotels in the area. Plenty down on the river that are nice and warm with views, free breakfast, and way cheaper. For $150 a night you should get more than a shack without heat! \r \r Be warned! more
