Big Mistake! They rented an apartment to me infiltrated with second hand smoke. After one attempt to correct it, we where told they didn't know what else could be done. We complained six more times and they now say they have no record of it. We were told we would be responsible for one month's rent if we broke the lease and were charged two months rent. The pet deposit we paid isn't really a deposit. They kept one half of that deposit and do not apply it against any ""damage"". They just pocket it! Extra fees are paid monthly for pets that also are just pocketed. My advise is to steer clear. They are disgustingly sweet before you rent and this is very fake. They are unethical as they plan on renting this apartment again and not letting the new tenant know about the unhealthy air quality. I agree with the other reviewer that they must be posting their own reviews because they aren't top notched at all. more

I lived at Los Pinones for 6 months and it was the WORST 6 months I have ever experienced as a renter! The management is far from top-notch as a a previous review would suggest. The couple of previous reviews on this site confuse me frankly. It would almost appear that the people of the complex are writing review for themselves. They constantly use double-talk to get out of things they have promised or said to a tenant. The maintenance department is terrible as well. I was without a working heater for nearly 5 consecutive weeks as the winter months were beginning. Yes, they may keep the grounds fairly clean and, yes, there is a nice mountain view if you're lucky enough to get a unit that faces it. But, the fact is, if you ever need anything from the management or maintenance, forget about any kind of amicable or quick service. Please heed these words of advice and never, ever, consider this place for your next residence unless you are such an ""understanding"" person that it is actually a fault. I only wish I could fully explain how horrible and frustrating it is to live at Los Pinones. more
