Los Lagos Golf Course

Los Lagos is my favorite place to golf in San Jose. The fairways are in great shape, but the greens could use a little work. Very friendly staff, and a good selection of beer for after the round. I would suggest renting a cart, because it is a long walk between certain holes. more

This Muni course is known for it's location. It has a large two teer driving range so practice during your lunch break is possible. If you're an accurate hitter you'll like this course. It's greens are fair. It gets lots and lots of play so conditioning and maintenance is a challenge as is it's pace of play . However, compared to Pasatiempo in Santa Cruz it's well located to the evergreen area of San Jose. You'll want to take a cart unless you're use to walking a long course as there's a quite a bit of a distance from their greens to the next tee box. But if you're a ""Golfer"", you'll want to make the forty minute drive across HWY 17 to enjoy one of the Top 100 Course in the country; Pasatiempo. Los Lagos does a nice job of accepting and encouraging young golfers as well as catering to the experienced set. The double-decker driving range is the icing on the cake! more

Its nice to find a course like this - with junior tees for our 9 year old and then long enough for golf enthusiasts. Los Lagos has always been very friendly to our son and have good junior rates during the right times. more

this is one of the most beautiful courses that i've ever seen, especially out of no where in san jose. the best view of the course is standing on the second level of the driving range and looking over the actual golf course. their prices are pretty good, good golf shop, and very nice customer service. its a very long course so a cart is needed. more

my son went here a few times and couldnt stop talking about his course. he says this course looks so beautiful from the 2nd floor of the driving range. he also told me that he plans to go here when he has time to play all 18 holes. he loves the driving range there though and says the service there is good. more

This is the because golf course that I have went to in my very short life as a golfer. Nice driving range and decent cost. two reasons why its not getting the five stars are because (1) I have not had the opportunity to play on their actual course yet and (2) I dont think they have a practice putting and chipping surface which could be a good thing. All in all this is a very beautiful and long course, oh yeah and the people that I have met who worked there are also very very nice. more

This is fairly new open since April 2002. Upkeep is pretty good though lately the greens are getting a little torn up (people not fixing their ball marks or divots!). Though this is a short par 68, it has its challenges. Hole #4 - 300+ par 4 that doglegs around water tempts you to drive the green (can be done!). Pros: Challenging Cons: Crowded more
