Cheap and tasty 10/4/2006

I work across the street so I frequent this establishment. Great food at a great price. The large carnitas burrito is under $5 and is one of my favorites. It gets busy at lunchtime so get there early (1130 seems to work for me). Pros: Good value, true mexican cafe atmosphere Cons: Service charge for credit card if order is under $5. more

Try the tacos and burritos!!!! 7/18/2005

I live in SF, but everytime I pass by Sacramento, I have to come here. Their tacos here are so good, they deep fry the tortilla and meat together, and then put the lettuce, tomato, and cheese on top. The tortilla is so good, cripsy on the outside, while still a bit soft on the inside. I usually get two tacos (chicken and beef) at a time, so that way they I eat them hot. Don't forget about the salsa, it just makes it so much better. Right before I leave I always order 4 burritos to go. Their burritos are really simple, its just meat and cheese wrapped in a tortilla. Did I mention that their tacos are only 99 cents and their burritos are only 1.49? Pros: Tacos, Burritos, Very Cheap Cons: Wish it were in SF more

A new favorite in Sac-town 12/19/2004

I spend a lot of time in Baja, so moving recently to Sac I wondered if I'd find anything similar to what I eat south of the border. I FOUND IT! Los Jarritos is good and cheap! Try the ""paletas"", mexican ice cream bars or order a mexican pastry. I will return to Los Jarritos soon! Pros: great deal, bakery, ice cream bars more

Beef is Pork? 10/22/2004

The food here tastes fine and I recommend it. On this *last* visit I ordered beef tamales and received pork. I took it back and was first told that only beef tamales are available. They offer both pork and beef, and my dining companion ordered one of each. I was assured that this white meat was beef. I know it was pork. If your denomintation forbids pork I recommend you avoid this place or take extra precautions. Thumbs down on customer relations but the Salsa sure was Great! This place delivers great food at very reasonable prices. Always a good choice if you are hungry. I have never left disappointed. Great value for anyone. I only wish it was open later. Pros: value, food, service Cons: , parking, dining room size more

98 cents for a Bean & Cheese burrito not only is the price good but its the best Bean & Cheese Burrito in town - you cant get that at Taco Bell or Jimboys! I also recommend their Chicken ala cart tacos - they are the best! more

Good cheap burrito 12/3/2003

Only place I know where you can get full on a $1.50 burrito and free chips. The veggie burrito is $1.50 and it comes with beans, rice, cheese, guacomole, and sour cream. Only 25 cents to add an extra side of guacomole to go with your free chips. Plus their Horchata rules! I love this place. more

Simple but Yummy 9/23/2003

Cheap, cheap, cheap food. Food is delicious too. I reccomend their super burrito, chicken tacos, and as much fresh salsa as you can stomach. Have not spent more than $4 for lunch there. Line is out the door by Noon. Pros: Inexpensive, Quick food service Cons: parking more
