Just had my pup neutered at Los Feliz small animal hospital. I'm a first-time pet owner and they are understanding of my anxiety about the whole process. They didn't try to sell me any unnecessary bloodwork. They were clear about what they would be doing to my pet. Overnight observation was included in the price. I also had them microchip my dog and the total cost for the neuter + microchip was $350. That's pretty standard for vets from what i've researched. As per the negative reviews below, my guess is that sometimes people are really defensive about their pets, and can sometimes shoot the messenger if the diagnosis is bad, or expensive. Los Feliz Small Animal Hosipital is my vet, and i'm happy with them and they have my trust. more

best vet ever! 11/15/2010

Dr. Costin is the best vet ever! He really cares about my pets. He's a nice guy and very well informed. This vet office is pretty pricey....but worth it, if you can afford it. Trust me...I've been all over LA...some of them are pretty bad. One even gave me back the wrong cat one time more

AMAZING! 11/2/2010

Something that comes to mind when writing reviews is thinking about how we treat others in the world and in the case of this review how we treat our pets also. The Dr.s and the staff at the front desk plus the technicians at LFSAH have all been kind, caring , considerate and extremely skilled. Mind you the Gals at the front desk are also professionals some with degrees in science, some parents etc...They have all been wonderful and helpful, put yourself in their place, some days are crazy some days were grouchy...try asking them how their day is going or what their pets names are , instead of the selfish entitled attitudes people carry now a days !!! My cat is 24 years old and has been a patient there for 12 years. She is currently under the care of both the young Dr. C and Dr. H . Ive taken good care of my cat, they see this and without question have provided me with thee best service. Also how can we talk and complain about money when were dealing with another's quality of life ? This is not about bargain shopping. They have also given us excellent references for specialists. Once again everyone at LFSMH is amazing and if you have problems refer to the first sentence in my review again !!! more

I think they're great. I took my dog in when I found some lumps on his underside. When I went to Los Feliz Small Animal Hospital not only did they check the lumps, but they went above and beyond and asked me about any other problems he was having a gave great advice on how to care for my pup now that he's getting older. Everything from how to choose a good food to help him lose weight to the proper treatment for his arthritis. They were great, and the whole visit took less than a half hour and cost less than $50. I would definitely recommend them to anyone. more

DR. FULLER! DR. FULLER! DR. FULLER! I would fly to the moon if need be to take my dogs to Dr. Fuller. She's the most compassionate, kind-hearted, knowledgeable, thorough and sincere vet EVER. She's held our hand (LITERALLY) and walked us through the deaths of two elderly dogs and the subsequent adoption of two new shelter dogs. She's seen us through bloat, kennel cough, spayings, intestinal infections, hip dysplasia, vestibular disease, cancer, euthanasia (sob), and countless cuts and bruises. She's a dream vet and we all (including our dogs) ADORE her. The rest of this clinic is fine... we think Dr. Costin is cool and there is one vet tech (Christian, I think...?) in particular who's pretty great. But it's really Dr. Fuller that makes this a five-star establishment. more

I've had an excellent experience with Dr. Costin. I am amazed at how thorough he is, how observant he is, and how he goes above and beyond to inform you of and explain everything. I have learned so much since I've started to take my dog here! He's highly knowledgeable. He, along with the other staff, are warm, friendly and considerate. He took a long time on the phone today to personally explain every aspect of the various procedures my dog had to undergo. I really appreciate that. more

Personal wonderful service 9/24/2010

love this place. On some other sites I've seen people give it really bad reviews for being expensive. Well, it's health care, why would you wanna chintz on your pet? And I don't think it's any more or less pricey than most vets. I love Dr Halse and Dr Chan, both have seen my Dog and Cat through some crazy shit. They are honest with you and very nice. I like that they are open and will honestly answer your questions and concerns. While you may have to wait a while when you go, you can drop in if it's an emergency. I was told when I moved to LA to go to the VCA. Which is basically the McDonald's of Vets. Nope, the personal wonderful service here is way better than the drive-thru mentality of any one of the three VCAs I went to. more

Cannot say enough 9/21/2010

We cannot say enough about Dr. Michelle Fuller. She recently treated our dog with such care, compassion and pragmatism! She provided us with all of our options, which we truly appreciated. Best of all, our dog came into the vet shaking and left wagging her tail after practically climbing into Dr. Fuller's lap. We would recommend Dr. Fuller to anyone looking for a vet in the Los Feliz, Atwater or Glendale area. more

she is the most kind-hearted and professional vet i have ever worked with. i have had 3 dogs and 3 cats throughout my lifetime and she is the best vet i have ever seen. more

I've taken my cats and dogs there for over 15 years and the quality really depends on the doctor you get. I highly recommend you ask for Dr. Fuller, she's the absolute best. more

Dr. Costin does rock! I've had appt.s with the other doctors there, but now I only see him because he is caring and very knowledgeable. In fact, last year my kitty was diaganosed with cancer when I brought him for a regular check-up. I was very upset, and Dr. C was extremely compassionate and made that process as good as it could be. Also, the staff has always been nice to me.... more

We are VERY fussy about our Cat and we have found that LFSMH is GREAT - they tell us what we needed to do for our cat's thyroid problem - they write us prescriptions when we need them and allow us to get his medications less expensively through 1-800-PetMeds. They've never told us that we need any certain tests except bloodwork on his every 6 months to monitor his thyroid which I appreciate! The wait times are short, and the staff friendly. I would highly recommend 3/15/2010

I have been going to the Los Feliz Small Animal Hospital for 17 years first with my cat and now with my new puppy. I have always found the front desk staff to be very helpful and professional. I have seen several different vets there over the years and have always been happy with the care with which they have treated my pets. I would highly recommend them to every pet owner.? -Rose L. more
