Great food, cheap! 11/12/2002

My favorite places to eat are the mom-and-pop diner places, and this joint fits right in. From the pictures of the twins (los cuates) on the wall, to the brown tile and yellow/orange light fictures, to the giant refrigerator in the center of the dining room (they must have run out of room in the kitchen), it's all about a hole-in-the-wall restaurant with excellent food. What is that yellow stuff? 10/28/2002

I can never figure out what is that yellow gravy-like substance that Los Cuates uses in every chicken entree. Why must they use any kind of gravy in Mexican food? A burrito doesn't require gravy inside - what is the purpose of it? To stretch the meat, perhaps? If I can't identify it or at the very least, justify its existence, then I ain't eating it. Food is excellent. Service is focused around good meal and it is hard to get a quick fix for lunch. Prices fit quality of food and not what I would consder cheap. more

4 years ago I was taken to Los Cuates. It is the best mexican food restaurant I have been to in this state. Every time I go to Albuquerque I have eat there. I can not get enough of it. Thank you for every bite. more

Almost a good as homemade 10/3/2002

This restruant has great food, great atmosphere, quick service. A great place to have a bridal shower and/or birthday party. Great Margaritas. Pros: Spicy, Variety, Service Cons: limited parking, noisy more

Open one in Indiana! 8/8/2002

I moved from Albuquerque 6 years ago. My wife and I loved this place. I dream about their salsa and enchiladas. Its a shame they don't branch out, how about Plymouth Indiana???? You can use my house until you find a building! more
