Melissa B. is great...this review is long overdue, but I've been to her a few times, and every single time, she's listened to what I've had to say, and really worked with my hair, to create something even more amazing than I could have imagined. And she gives great hair care advice; I was honest with her and told her I couldn't afford the products, so she gave me affordable options--I've never had anyone do this before! Yes, it's slightly pricey, but it is SO worth it. It took me four years to find a stylist I liked, and cannot rave enough about her! Go get your hair done by Melissa, it's worth it! Melissa B. changed my life. For many years I avoided getting a more stylish cut because past experience taught me that every effort to style it on my own (in the days that followed) was not only hopeless but a style disaster. Melissa B cut my hair two months ago and it still looks great! The layers seem to effortlessly fall into place after drying. The style has retained it's shape , despite the two month growth, and the highlights still look warm and bright.. Thanks Melissa B. for liberating me from my plain jane look and transforming me into a more style confidant woman. more

Fantastic cuts from Melissa B. 9/14/2007

Finding stylists who can cope with my long curly hair is always a challenge, but Melissa B. is the best! She skillfully cuts long layers that fall just right and don't look choppy. Her cuts give my hair some shape and style without increasing the volume. No other stylist has managed to make my hair this cute and manageable; thanks Melissa! more

Get your hair done here! 3/22/2007

Capelli Lounge is a cute new hair salon. I started going there when my stylist, Melissa, took a job there. Melissa is awesome - in addition to being a really sweet person, she rocks at doing hair. I have very fine hair and it takes a lot to make it look voluminous, but Melissa has found a way to incorporate my desires for change with her own knowledge of what will make my hair look it's best. She also does a great job with color - she's very good at doing subtle changes every time - since I'm really fickle about having the same hair for too long. Fortunately, she's also great at making dramatic changes, as I've certainly looked for that in the past as well. I've never had a bad experience with her and have been going to her for several years now. I had gone through numerous stylists before I was lucky enough to find her. more

Capelli is an amazing lounge. I've seen these stylists take ordinary hair and create nothing less than miraculous pieces of art. Michael Nu?ez is my favorite; hes been doing my hair for years now, and i cant imagine it any other way. They have a fun/friendly environment, from soccer mom chic -to- punk rock mullets! they will DO YOU RIGHT! trust and believe!! more

I have been getting my hair done by Michael Nunez for the past two years and he's amazing! He is always ready to go when I get there and he is willing to work with my hair because it is very thick. He loves to talk and also open for new hair ideas, he always treats me with respect and dignity. I really do appreciate the service that Capelli Lounge offers me. Every time I walk into their salon, there is always someone there to greet me with a smile. more

Michael Nunez Rocks! 2/8/2007

Michael's been doing my color for a few years now and he's so good I followed him from his last salon. Capelli Lounge is my favorite spot. Nice atmosphere. Cool people. Not the usual uptight LA salon feeling. When I first moved here from London, I found it impossible to find a colorist who gave me the right blonde. Now I've found Michael and he does it perfectly every time. Plus he's so fast it's crazy. No more whole afternoons in the salon for me. He's the best! Pros: Great service. Nice vibe. Cons: Parking can be tricky but worth it! more

Best colorist in southern california! 1/31/2007

Melissa B. does a killer job on my hair! I am a musician and I need something that stands out in a crowd. She does fantastic color work and razor cuts. My haircuts last a long time too so I don't have to come in as often as I did with my old hair stylist. Highly recommended! Capelli Lounge's Veronica Clarke knows style! 3/13/2006

I also want to note that the management is excellent at Capelli Lounge. They have had more functions and client services than they have ever had in the past. They also have a receiptionist that is there to help anytime. The old management did not have a receiptionist and you could not even leave a message.
