I took a pair of cream colored pants to be dry cleaned, along with two sweaters. The pants had only been worn once, but because I had a ""3 items for $9.99 coupon"" I decided to include the pants in my cleaning order. When I picked up my order, I noticed that the pants had black streaks on both legs, as if the pants had been rubbed against a greasy or dirty surface. A tag from the cleaners was also attached. It said that they were unable to remove the ""stains"" from the pants. I called the store and explained that the pants did not have any stains or marks when I brought them to be cleaned. The employee referred me to the owner, Lonnie Baird. I called Mr. Baird and his immediate response was, ""it was probably an 'invisible' stain that didn't show up until the pants were cleaned."" Give me a break! - I don't how you could call this damage an invisible stain. Mr. Baird finally agreed to look at the pants if I would return them to the store. It has been two weeks since I returned the pants, along with a letter of explanation. I have not received a reply from Mr. Baird. I have taken my cleaning to this store previously and not had any problems. This situation would have been very easy for Mr. Baird to resolve. Understanding that mistakes happen, I would have accepted a store credit for the value of the pants. But his attitude of indifference told me everything I need to know about Lonnie's Cleaners. I'll take my business elsewhere.
