Long's Billiards

I went to Long's for the first time recently and I was totally shocked at what I experienced. The place was staffed by a young lady that, in my opinion really did not know much about what she was selling. Practically every question that I asked was answered only after she went next door to get the answer from another person. I had two cue sticks that I wanted to to have new tips put on and I asked for medium soft tips and she acted as if she did not know what I was talking about. I then told her that both sticks had phenolic ferrules and tips and asked her if she was sure they could replace them with regular tips. As I expected she again went next door and returned with the answer-yes, they could do that. The price was high-$58 for both-but I left them. The same lady called me a week later and said they were not equipped to to that type of work and this was after she assured that they could. I was frustrated at that because I had to drive 94 miles round trip from my home, pay bridge toll, and waste 2 hours of my time-all because of a mistake THEY made. I told her to be prepared to reimburse me for my travel and time. She (and the person calling the shots from next door) refused. I told her I just wanted to be treated fairly and her response was "I am being fair, I am refunding the money that you paid for the work to be done." I found out later that the place is under new ownership, so all the good reviews you see must be for the previous owner. I went to their website (which has a number of POSITIVE reviews) to post this review and found NO way to, post any review! Makes one wonder, doesn't it??? more

Had a pool table delivered/set-up. Despite the challenges experienced as a result of the vehicle getting stuck, I would like to extend my sincere appreciation for Victor and Chris. They were extremely diligent in ensuring the table was set up professionally. We all learned a valuable lesson in patience. They handled themselves with such maturity and I assure you that you would be proud. I considered moving the table myself but after realizing how tedious the process is, decided to look for a reputable mover. I located your company online and am glad I did. Thank you again. Customer service is not dead. more

Not only do they have poor workmanship and don't listen to what your needs are but if you cancel they steal your money. They won't tell you they aren't refunding your money fully but will keep at least $100 of your money and tell you that it's for a "trip charge or a cancellation fee" whatever suits their purpose. DON'T go to them for anything!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Their attitude stinks and in their mind when you give them your credit card "you agree to all charges", their words NOT mine. more

Long's billiards was given the chance to refelt, rebumper and replace the pockets. The cloth, after a month, has ball marks all over from where you break or shoot. The bumpers vibrate and sound dead. The pockets fall onto table when you hit pocket. This was done by their workers, after complaining a supervisor came and did a worse job. I told him to sue. We have an antique Valley, 1949 and they were supposed to make it better, they made it worse! Scott callahan more
