Having previously run an upscale restaurant in Dallas, I can very critical when it comes to service, quality, atmosphere and presentation. Wendy was our server and providede excellent wine choices for the courses we selected. Every course was just fabulous. They are even adept at taking care of vegetarians! Call ahead for reservations and if you have specific dietary needs. Your Valentine will definitely feel special in this upscale ""hidden"" jewel. perhaps the best food in town 7/27/2006

Eat here when they have foie gras and filet mignon. Desserts and salads are always terrible at places like this, so don't come in expecting much if you opt for them. But the entrees...if they sound good to you, you'll be very pleased with the preparation. Service is very cool and friendly. I ate here in jeans once (first time I visited), and nobody yelled at me. Every time thereafter, I dressed up for the food. It deserves slacks. more

the service is great, the food is divine and the ambience is pleasing. having dined at alot of ""esteemed"" places this is a welcome addition. the menu is on the adventurous side but EVERYTHING ive had had perfectly balanced flavors and good portions. our waitress knew the menu well and was very informed on the wine menu (which is great as well). the atmosphere is soothing with the feeling of eating at a friends house, if your dinner will be for two in the main restaurant (there is lola's and the tasting room at lola's) then request the table by the bay window as it is so charming. Pros: atmosphere, menu, friendly staff Cons: little pricey, but oh so worth it more

The TASTING ROOM's Chef David Uygur can make a sugar snap pea into a bite-size symphony of savory goodness! Having dined there several times, I have eaten things I never KNEW to like, lapped them up and wished for more. Each time, I was seated promptly, served at my own dining pace by attentive waiters who knew the menu and stories behind the ""bites"" and wines and enhanced my dining experience by sharing them. This is the place I come for extra special occasions for assured excellence in dining without pretense. I HIGHLY recommend it. Pros: valet parking, intimate seating, stretches taste buds more
