We've eaten at Log Haven a half a dozen times. Recently, we had a fried oyster salad that was divine. The salad had a light vinagrette, surrounded with tasty strips of bacon, and topped with homemade potato chips. 8 fried oysters over a ranch dressing finished the plate off. My partner had the achiote shrimp and chorizo with a heavenly queso fresco risotto. I had the cappellini with seared scallops- a flavor packed entree with a silky, smoky tomato sauce, bits of sundried tomatoes, and toasted pine nuts. The entrees were more flavorful than they sound on the menu. I've been disappointed with the desserts (they aren't by a pastry chef but by the sous chef). The service can be slow and rushed. This is a BAD place to go when there is a convention in town (ask when you make reservations), as expense account groups get loud.
Pros: Excellent food
Cons: Inconsistent service, Loud groups, disappointing dessert
