I have been to lizmichaels several times in the past years that I have lived here in Apex. I absolutely LOVE their salon! Laverna did an amazing pixie cut on me, which from my past experience, is a hard cut to get done right. She nailed it! I have had long, short, and in between hair done there, by the owner and a few other members of her staff. Every trip has been wonderful, extremely accommodating, and classy. If you are at all looking for a new place to go and want the best experience, look no further! They will go above and beyond to make you happy with no matter what you are having done. I went to this salon with little hope that I would get the strawberry blonde color back that I love (which I had gotten from a NY salon years ago).....Salon after salon told me it wasn't ""possible"" with my hair type since I had previously dyed it over and over. Vanessa did a FABULOUS job with it, and my husband thought it came out ""amazing""......I will definitely be going back! more

After years of searching I finally found my hair stylist! Vanessa highlighted and trimmed my hair and she is AMAZING! I've been to so many hair salons and people in the past and I always left the salon disappointed because my hair color wasn't what I explained. Vanessa is extremely thorough, honest, and won't let you walk out of the salon looking like..you know what! Maybe I went at the right time or day, but I didn't have to wait while she finished doing someone else's hair either! The price is more expensive than I've paid in the past, but hey, you get what you pay for! If I went to her in the first place, I would've saved the money from the three people that couldn't get it the color I wanted! Def. recommend! more

Brittany's the best! 3/11/2012

Brittany is amazing! She's done my hair for almost a year and it never fails that I get many compliments after my visits about the color and the style! She listens to what I want, but also offers suggestions - and they have all been wonderful. The best part? I am able to repeat the style at home later without any problem! Thanks Brittany for an awesome style and color!! more

Best color ever!! 2/23/2012

I went to the new girl, Laurel, at Lizmichaels and she gave me the best color ever. I have been coloring my hair for 15 years and its never looked this good. She was great. She made sure she understood exactly what I wanted and took her time to figure out the best color choice for me. She also trimmed my hair and it was fantastic as well. I highly recommend!!! more

Misinformed 1/16/2012

Ive been a long time client of Courtney Meacomes (who is a great hair stylist that I highly recommend!) I called the salon the other day to make an appointment with her and I was told she no longer worked there AND she moved and wasn't doing hair anymore. Little do they know that I have Courtney's personal number (Thank GOD) I called her and she HASNT moved, she is STILL in the area and is STILL a hairstylist. I don't understand why the salon would want to lie to me. You don't have to tell me anything other than ""She no longer works here."" At that point I could have used the Internet to find her (Hopefully) or asked other salons in the area about her. I Hope other people will see this post and KNOW that Courtney is still doing hair. Christian is gone, but I found him! 11/23/2011

Liz Michaels lost their best stylist and if you try to get his information as of his whereabouts, you won't get it from them, I tried. I'm not interested in going to anyone else there, so it's not as if they're losing me as a client in general - but they are losing me as a client since Christian is no longer there. For those of you who feel the same way and want Christian and no one else, he is at the Stylist Studios in Cary, 1791 NW Maynard Rd, and his phone number is 919-264-4844. I have a feeling that this review will get mysteriously deleted, but I'll just keep re-posting it if necessary. Christian is still performing miracles with his scissors - I just got back from getting my haircut and I feel back to myself again. more

Christian is no longer there and I will not go there 11/4/2011

Christian has taken care of my hair for over a year. I will not go to anyone else. He is simply the best. I was not pleased when I was notified that Christian is no longer there. They did not offer me his contact information so that I could continue to be his client. They did say that another stylist there could see me. That is not acceptable. I want Christian! Luckily there is Facebook! I contacted him there and he was able to see me on my original appointment day and time at the stylist studio in Cary! That is where I will be going from now on. Liz michaels truly lost their best stylist! more

I have been going to Lizmichaels since they have opened and have been a long time client of Liz. She has always done an amazing job on my hair, I could not imagine trusting anyone else to touch it. She is incredibly creative and always makes me look stunning. I love being able to walk in and have Liz suggest fun, new styles! She has done all colors and cuts over the years as well as my wedding hair and make up, which turned out absolutely gorgeous! Liz also does several other family members and friends and their hair always looks amazing!! I love going to the salon, the atmosphere in Lizmichaels is very modern and the entire staff is incredibly friendly! I always feel welcome and comfortable. It's also great to be treated to a nice glass of wine after a long day of work. If you are looking for an extremely talented stylist I 100% recommend Liz at Lizmichaels!! more

Definitely worth hitting up 10/24/2011

I'm a new client to this location and have been in twice over the past 6 weeks or so. Both times I'm worked with Courtney and she's done an awesome job with talking to me to see exactly what I want and giving suggestions that I'm really glad I listened to. I'm also impressed with the way the stylists seem to have a friendship with their clients. I think that's one of the big reasons why people keep coming back to them - they actually feel appreciated rather than just being looked at as ""my 2:30 appointment"". Cheers. more

I've recently moved to the Apex area and love it! One of the concerns I had was finding another hair stylist like the one I have had for the last 15 yrs! I have definitely done that with Jessie Meacham at LizMichaels. First of all she made me feel very comfortable by offering me water, wine and talking with her about what I like and then she told me what she thought would be good for me. She has colored/highlighted and cut my hair and she ended up doing an incredible job everytime! I walk away from there feeling younger and beautiful and my husband even compliments how good it looks! Jessie also suggest products to me to help maintain my hair, which are also sold at LizMichaels. I've left there and gone to get my nails done, grocery store and have women stop and ask me who does my hair and tell me how nice it looks and that they love the color, now that really makes you thankful for your hair stylist. I'm grateful to Jessie and I know I have found the right hair stylist for me! Thanks Jessie!!! more

I have to say that im in love with this salon! Everyone there is so nice. A friend referred Christian to me so I made an appt. to see if he could do something with my shoulder length, fine, dense hair. My last hairstylist really damaged my hair. I had peices of hair broken off everywhere. Dying it blonde didnt help it either. \r \r Anyway, Christian promised me that he would have my hair healthy in no time. He gave me a couple of suggestions...to think about cutting it short and dying it a darker color. He said it would make my hair look healthier, full of body and that it would look great on me. I have never cut my hair short before! Couple of weeks later I made up my mind to let him work his magic. He gave me a glass of wine to help my nerves and he made me feel at ease. He would stop cutting and ask if i was ok. \r \r My hair turned out awesome! The next visit i had him cut it alittle shorter in the back. I asked for red and the color was perfect! My husband thinks I'm a bombshell 8/19/2010

I have got to thank Liz for my fabulous new hair. Not only did she cut and color it just like I requested but the Brazilian Blowout she did left my hair looking and feeling like silk. That is saying a lot for my hair in the south during the summer. I usually frizz out during the humid season but this has left my hair looking gorgeous without any fuss on my part. When I walked in my house after my appointment my husband went crazy and told me I look like his own private blonde bombshell.....yaaaaayyy!!!! Thanks Liz!!!! more

Liz is my favorite stylist ever 8/19/2010

I have found the most talented stylist ever! Liz has been doing dimensional color and awesome cuts for me for 2 years and I felt it was time (over due) to thank her for using her talent to make me so HAPPY! I have refered her to all of my friends in my neighborhood and they feel the same. I promise you will be so happy with Liz and will enjoy her sweet personality as well. more

Love my stylist Liz 8/8/2010

Love, Love, Love my stylist Liz. She always does a great job. I am now starting to let my hair grow longer and went in for a trim. She took off just the right amount and did exactly what I asked her to do. It is so hard to find a stylists that listens to what you want but she does. If you are lucky to get a appointment with her, you won't regret it. The salon itself is warm and inviting, everyone is so nice, a little peace of heaven in Apex. more
