I had my hair highlighted and cut over the holidays by Brittany. First of all, I didn't have to wait more than just a few minutes. That is one thing I can't stand is to have an appointment with someone and have to sit and wait 15 minutes or more. She took her time to find out what I was looking for in a cut. Loved my highlights! I have had several ladies stop and ask me who does my hair. One lady was at the mall and the other at the bank. I highly recommend Brittany. I was very pleased and will be going back! I had my hair cut and colored for the first time this past Saturday by Liz and I have to say from start to finish it was a wonderful experience. I was warmly greeted by Stacy upon entering the salon and offered a drink right away. She told me that Liz would be right with me and boy was she right. No waiting for my appointment to begin. Liz took me back to her chair to chat about what I was looking for. She was so sweet and made me feel comfortable right away. I wanted to keep the same basic color blonde and she said it would be no problem matching it. I wanted a different cut, something easier to take care of. She brought me over some magazines and we went through and picked out something she thought would be easier for me to take care of. I LOVE my new look! Just got a great cut and color at Liz Michael's salon last night. The whole experience was great....from the minute I walked in. Was welcomed and offered a glass of wine or water by the friendly staff. The salon itself is beautifully designed and colorful. My stylist was Christian. What can I say? He gave me one of the best cuts I ever had.....and the color was amazing. Pulling the color through my hair gave me the most awesome highlights without actually doing foils. I will be going back again....and again! more

Hello Ladies! I just had my hair colored, highlighted and cut by Christian! Let me say this first, Christian is the best! If you are looking for a guy who has passion, extremely talented, excellent colorist, very sweet and listens to what you want as far as style, color, etc.,you need to make your appointment NOW and believe me, you will keep going back for more! I felt great, my hair cut, color and honey highlights look fantastic! When I first moved to Cary, friends at work kept recommending what they called "the best" and each time I left in tears! I have been to about 5 salons since July and believe me my search has come to a screaming halt. Liz's salon has a warm and friendly atmosphere and the staff are very pleasant as well. This gets a 10 star rating in my opinion. I am one extremely happy camper with my nice new doo!! more

I have been going to Christian Meacomes at Lizmichaels for about 6 months now and leave happy and satisfied with my hair EVERY time! Christian is very helpful with ideas on how my hair will look best - the cut, color, and highlights, and executes it perfectly every time. Christian is an incredibly talented hair stylist! He really personalizes the style to make your hair look it's best. I have very fine hair yet he is able to give me a cut that makes my hair look and feel like it has volume. It is also easy and quick to style on my own. I like natural looking highlights and he is great creating a color that adds richness and dimension. The salon is great and the folks there are friendly and fun! I had been in search of a new hairstylist since my last one had ruined my hair by coloring my hair three times in a row! Due to extreme bleaching my hair became dry, brittle and was falling out.. I was extremely nervous to adventure out for a new hairstylist since my hair was so badly damaged. But I need to find someone who could repair the damage and give my hair a decent color. I came upon this salon and was greeted by a gentleman named Christian. He not only repaired my hair, but choose an excellent color for my complextion. On top of it, he but gave me one of the best haircuts ever! Which is very hard since I have curly hair!! I highly recommend this salon. Pros: Best knowledge of hair damaged and coloring more

I have followed Christia for years because I get fabilous highlights n cuts each n every time. He highlights what exactly needs it so that is accentuates your cut. Give him a chhance and he will make you look great!!!!! more

I had an awful experience at Liz Michaels, they do not meet the clients needs. I brought in a picture and came out with a horrendous style! Very disappointing! I also noticed after I washed my hair the layers on one side were longer than the other! They rush you out the door, and they are not accommodating whatsoever if you are unhappy. i've been in search of a new stylist for a while now. i had a couple of not-so-good experiences with two other stylists at up-scale salons in the apex/cary area. the experience and knowledge wasn't there with these other stylists, and to be honest, i think i sort of felt that from the moment i sat down in the seat and met with them for the first time. however, i tend to give most the benefit of the doubt. so, i proceeded but later found those little voices that were speaking to me were right. i wound up disappointed both times. i wasn't happy with the cut. i wasn't happy with the color. and the icing on the cake...i paid top dollar for inexperience only to be left with a mess on my head that i had to deal with and look at every single day. and it wasn't like i was getting my hair done at great clips or cost cutters. i don't mean that in any offensive way, but these were high-end salons that i was dropping at least $150 in per visit! you would think they would require higher standards and have very experienced stylists at those rates! well, needless to say, i put off looking for someone new for a while, as my experiences left me completely discouraged and afraid to get out there and try it again. what would i end up with next? but, with the frustration was still piling up. i was dealing with a bad cut and looking at over-grown roots everyday. something had to give. besides, the holidays were around the corner. i felt that i deserved to feel good about my hair again. so, on a whim, i just decided to pop into lizmichaels to see if i could sit with someone for a quick consulation. that day, i met christian and right from the beginning, i could tell by the way he spoke he had the experience, knowledge and expertise that i so desperately needed! i booked an appointment and went earlier this week. when i arrived, i was still a little apprehensive because of my past experiences, but christian was amazing and he did an excellent job! i was especially nervous about the color process because for the first time in a long time, i was going darker. christian recommended doing this gradually by adding lowlights vs. going dark all over. and he was definitely right about that one! the color couldn?t have turned out any better! as far as the cut, it?s finally balanced and way more manageable now than it has been in months! i will definitely go back and will recommend him to anyone. i?m glad that i finally found someone that not only talks the talk, but also walks the walk! he spoke of his experience and training, which any good talker can do, but he proved his expertise to me and i?m a happy client! it feels good to finally have a stylist that i have complete confidence in and trust with my hair. it was still a pricey visit to the salon, but at least this time around i at least feel like i got my money?s worth! thanks christian! Needing a new stylist, I found lizmichaels online and decided to make an appointment. I have very thick hair, so I am always a little apprehensive when someone new cuts my hair. Stacey was super friendly on the phone and was able to fit me in with Brittany on the same day. Brittany did a fantastic job with my short cut and thinned my hair just how I like it. Laverna was happy to wax my brows before I left, and I'm pleased with them, too. Eventhough I live about 30 minutes away, I will definitely be going back to Lizmichaels! more

I had my first experience at Liz Michael's this Thursday. Even before I stepped foot in the salon, my service was excellent. The receptionists who booked my appointment and called to confirm were both friendly and helpful. I received the same friendly treatment once in the salon. Christian was my stylist. After living in the triangle area for about 10 years and trying out many of the ""top-rated"" salons, I finally found a salon and stylist that meets my expectations! I had a cut/color with Christian and was impressed by his knowledge of coloring techniques and most importantly with the final outcome.
