7/18/2016\r \r I took a dear friend visiting from Montreal on my first visit to Toni's this evening, 6pm, and it was relatively empty. I told our server it was our 1st visit and she assured us that what we had planned to order would be ""the best!"" We ordered appetisers: soup and cheese sticks. Instead of serving both at the same time to enjoy together the soup arrived 1st and cheese sticks over10 minutes later. I ordered the Calamari dinner and my guest the ""Tony's Pizza.""\r The Calamari arrived dark and overcooked (Rubber-bands), the pizza way over-loaded with fresh garlic (Dragon breath) to be eaten on a small desert plate.\r \r It took me 30 years to finally try ""Tony's....and it'll be another 30 if and when I return! more

I think pizza is the thing to get here, as they have an unusual flakey, buttery crust. Cheese is plentiful, and this is a tasty pie. more

Little Toni's....a Valley Icon 11/20/2011

My family have been patrons of Little Toni's since I was a child, and I have been back several times over the years. The wait staff have always been kind, although it may be not be the best place to eat if you're in a hurry. This is place to enjoy good Italian food and linger with friends and family without anyone rushing you out of the restaurant. Pros: null Cons: null more

Little Toni's - good Italian and open late 5/31/2010

I really like Little Toni's! It's one of the few places open late in the neighborhood, and the food is generally really good. Plus, everyone is super nice and the service has always been great. more

Great Traditional Italian Dining 1/21/2009

This place has been here forever, and with restaurants popping up all over town, there's definitely a reason why! It's a genuine traditional family style Italian restaurant with great pizza and pastas. The prices are fantastic too! Get there early for dinner, because it gets very crowded. The kids will enjoy playing the Pacman game. You'll truly appreciate this family night out! more

Best Pizza in Town! 1/13/2009

I've been enjoying the tasty goodness of Little Toni's pizzas since I was a wee little lad. 4 generations of my family have dined there. I made my wife from upstate New York a fan, her mom a fan (who recently asked if we could stop there first on her next visit) and my one year old daughter a fan. Among my favorites are the moderately priced thin crust cheese pizza. For a party of two, go with a small or medium double-cut. Enjoy a tasty glass of wine along with your main meal. Many to choose from! The house wine is well priced, but I prefer a cab. Recently, we have tried a cheese pizza with a topping of either green bell peppers or salami (a nice alternative to pepperoni). Best time to go is when they just open or later in the evening. The joint can become rather busy during the busy 7pm rush. Try the bar, it's a nice place for couples to watch the tube and enjoy wine over pizza and get your old school game on with Ms. Pacman. The staff is not full of aspiring actors (maybe more

it's good 1/3/2009

toni's is good pizza. not the best, but it gets points for being open so late. service is below average, but hey it's late, I guess they are tired. more

It's one of kind. 1/2/2009

When you meet a nice waitress, who's been serving at the restaurant for almost 50 years, you have to believe its good. Their staff have been their a long time and enjoy serving their customers. However, be patient and its well worth it. It's a place you have to try once. They use the best ingredients on their pizza and serve family style like real Italians. The place looks pastime, but so what... that's the beauty of history. Great place for romantic dinners, small parties and quiet time with the family. Tip generously and don't forget to take some to go. more

Want Cheese Pizza like a pro, here it is! 3/27/2008

I have a great experience eating there. The cheese pizza is the best in town! Also, they open late! The Waitress was friendly. I rather have a waitress who leaves you with you food and friend. Unlike other places--they might bother you every 10 minutes and expect a 30% tip! more

Hands Down Best Pizza 10/28/2007

Yes, I agree that the service isn't Patina or Wolfgang Puck, but seriously we would never go there expecting otherwise. The PIZZA IS THE ABSOLUTE BEST we've ever had (my husband is from Boston). I don't mind the waitresses and actually have a great rapport with them--they can be to the point, but I've never felt they were blatantly rude. We do prefer picking up to dining in, as the service can be a bit slow, but again, we expect that when we go in. Back to the pizza--the crust is thin, flaky, tastes fabulous; their sauce is a bit dark and tastes wonderful, and the pepperoni is thick-cut authentic pepperoni. None of it is out of a can. In fact, they sell their pizza sauce and salad dressing separately, and sometimes we get their's to use on a homemade pizza at home with Trader Joe's pizza dough. Their pizza is what we will miss most if/when we ever leave town... Pros: Pizza, old-school ambience Cons: Slow service, pricey but worth it more

Yummy pizza but service is not so yummy... 7/3/2007

Little Toni's is a hole in the wall Italian spot in North Hollywood. The decor is a little outdated, however may give customers a nostalgic feel for old Italy (checkered red table cloths). It is very dim inside --probably good for a romantic setting --but can be a little too dark when you can't even see your food. It's very old school--just like the staff. Service isn't their best asset. The only waitresses I've seen are all old ladies. There have been times when we wanted to eat there for lunch but they are only open for dinner. The pizza is the only reason my boyfriend and I go here! It is absolutely delicious and HUGH portions. Their thin-crust pizza is one of the best I've ever tasted! Yummy Yummy pizza but not so yummy service!!! Pros: PIZZA, food Cons: limited parking, service is not good at all, too dark inside more

Horrible service. medicore italian food. Great Pizza~ odd combo!!! 3/20/2007

The only reason in the world to go here is the pizza, but order it with extra sauce because they are skimpy. Waitrresses are mostly rude, slow, Busboys are gangesters that do nothing. Pros: open late Cons: bad area~ wait, why would I want to be in this town late at night!!! more

Simply The Best Pizza 2/4/2007

I live 20 miles away but go there once a week to get the best Italian food in Los Angeles. The portions are large or should I say huge, and the prices are more then fair. Not only is the food great but the service is as well, they make you feel at home. Great place to bring a date, dark lit and romantic. Pros: great food, great prices Cons: none more

BEST TRADITIONAL ITALIAN FOOD IVE EVER HAD 8/13/2006

im a new yorker, and this place keep strue to tradition. the food is absolutely amazing. the fettuchine alfredo is unbeleivable as well as the pizza and their meatballs. i would recommend that you eat there if are into big servings, great food, great customer service and late night dining. they are open till 1. i loved every minute of it, me and my wife went there for our anniversary dinner. the only thing u gotta worry about is the parking haha but same as anywhere in hollywood. have fun!! Pros: EVERYTHING!!!! Cons: parking is sometimes a challenge more

Awful place 8/3/2006

this place is awful. bad service. bad atmosphere. bad food. the complimentary water i was given was the worst i've ever tasted. i was gonna order pasta but didn't want anything that had been boiled in that water. basically i'd take a date to mcdonalds and force her to order off of the dollar menu before i'd go back to toni's. Pros: ummm, i wasn't shot Cons: everything else more

NY Pizza in NoHo 6/4/2006

Little Toni's is an old-school, candlelit, red vinyl booth kind of place that reminds you of Italian joints from your childhood... which is probably the last time the decor was updated. Despite this, or maybe because of it, the food is just as authentic and very pleasing to this New Yorker's strict standards for pizza (or "pie"). The late night dining options are great - they serve until 1am, and there is usually a small crowd so you don't feel like the only hungry night owl. A word of advice to vegetarians: they ladle meat sauce on top of most dishes, so be sure to specify that you want plain marinara. Pros: Great pizza, Authentic atmospere, Serves until 1am more
