The front desk receptionist in the morning, name starts with a G. She is the most rudest person. Anything you ask for is an inconvenience. Don't fall on hard times. she wont care. On top of a daily attitude like she better than everyone. She should work for a debt collector, no sympathy. I understand its a business and they want there money. You don't need to talk to hard working people like you are any better than them. Staff is alright, my daughter has been sent home in other children diapers a few times and soaked when we get home(6miles away). Care givers seem to be ok and consistent. more

I worked at LRSH for seven months and the teachers are great,but the management sucks,they show no appreciation to their staff members.I have kids of my own and when I needed to go to teachers conferences or had important doctors appointments for my kids they refuse to let me go,i figured with them being a daycare they would understand,I CAN ALWAYS FIND A NEW JOB,NOT NEW KIDS,my children are very important to me and their needs come first! File a complaint 6/28/2011

My child went here in 2007 and was hurt, and needed medical attention, the other child was never taken out, the school neglected my child and the municipality basically looked the other way. I am saddened to see so many other parents facing the same neglect my child did. I suggest you file a complaint with the municipality, and the state so there is a record against this facility, also call your assembly person. more

MOST HORRIBLE DAYCARE IN THE WORLD!!! 6/15/2011

Istill do not understand why this day"care" is still up and running.... The teachers are ALWAYS over ratio and from what ive seen the managment sits up at the front desk all day and eats fast food gossiping about the teachers. So many children have gotten hurt by specific kids in the rooms like bloody noses,scratches,bruises etc and the management still does not suspend that child. All they care about is getting money and enrolling children. The teachers there are horrible as well. Some of them are great with the children but most of them should not be employed. This one time i was dropping my child off and a kid was throwing a fit and the managment was standing outside the door of a classroom watching the teachers on how they react to him. He was kicking the door and going all out. WALK IN THERE AND HELP OUT THE TEACHER FOR PISS SAKES!! its not a freakin movie. Dont just stand their and watch the teacher struggle. Based on survey conducted April 2011 parent rated LRS various qualities as Very Good. Last Statement: Although I have had a few minor issues everyone at LRS has been great and very helpful in resolving my issues. All the teachers I've been in contact with from crawlers (which my grandson is in) to 3's, 4's and Pre-K which I have 4 sons in have been great. I appreciate all that the staff does for my family. My boys have went from not wanting me to leave to looking forward to going to Pre-K in the morning. Once again Thank You and keep the good work up. TM more

DO NOT BRING YOUR CHILDREN HERE!!!! 3/29/2011

I brought my son to LRSH for a while. At first it was ok, untill I relized that there was no supervision AT ALL! My son was getting bit on a regular bases and they would call almost every day to come and get my son. This school is rediculous! I walked into my sons classroom one day and it was complete kayos. There where kids playing in the sink with water and other kids wrestling around hitting each other. The teachers wouldn't even try to control the children. And they called this NAP TIME. This is the worst school that you can EVER put your child in. more

Management, please consider this: 2/10/2011

This facility needs to focus more on the children. They're more caught up in enrolling new students and making more money than in the students currently enrolled. Maybe if they didn't have every class filled to capacity, (without the staffing to back it up, mind you) then more attention could be paid to keeping the place clean, the children who are sick wouldn't go unnoticed and could be sent home, pieces of clothing wouldn't go missing and more time could be spent educating and caring for the children. The staff also wouldn't feel so overwhelmed and the turnover rate probably wouldn't be as high, either. I know that these days a business is only worth the money they make, but maybe these reviews wouldn't mostly be negative if the management focused more on the children and staff, then on numbers. \r The teachers do the best they can with what time and little resources are provided, and I'm sure if the management got on board with lowering the amount of students enrolled, you would see more

little red school house needs to close down! 2/10/2011

I highly recommand u do NOT to take ur child to that center, I REPEAT DO NOT TAKE YOUR CHILD TO LRSH\r ON LAKE OTIS.\r \r Teachers are ok... but they also have to do what management says. I honestly do not believe they have any experience in what THEIR doing . I have been out of ratio with tons of kids and they will sit there and wait for the next employee to come in before they get off their ass and get in a room. They absolutly refuse to get into a room all except megan she actually interacts with the children.\r \r Managment does not answer the buzzes- when I buzz up to the office its because something is wrong ( I tried to minimize my contact with managment as MUCH AS possible) I had a kid that was bleeding and they would not answer the buzz, I had blood all over me and they got on me for not scrubbing the carpet, hello I had blood all over me they needed to stay in the room so I can go to the bathroom and clean myself up! UNATTENTIVE STAFF 10/14/2010

I took my children here for only one month. My son has a milk allergy and I took soy for him, except the girls in the infant/toddler room would NEVER give him soy, just milk. I pulled my children out after just a month and now they expect me to pay for a second month that my children did not attend!! If your children have any food allergies, STAY AWAY!!!! THEY ARE NOT ATTENTIVE TO PARENTAL INSTRUCTION!!!!! My kids attended the Lake Otis location. more

If you want your child to learn DO not take them to Little Red Schoolhouse on Lake Otis! My daughter attended this school for 3 years and at that last year LRSH decided that they were no longetr taking schoolage children I seee why they do not want the responsibility of teaching a child anything. My daughter started kindergarten this year and her first report card she knew nothing! She had no letter recognition, number recognition, nothing what she did know she knew from me and her siblings, and the trunover rate is so high just as your kid is getting used to a teacher poof they are gone. Dont take your kid here period. My oldest kids 18/19 went to the LRSH on Tudor when they were children and the experience was completely different both my children recieved the highest level of teaching. Little Red School House is Horrible 10/6/2009

Last I heard a manager had TB (Lake Otis) and no one was notified they could have been exposed to it. Im sure that can be very harmful to the children and defiantly an infant. more

Little Red School House is INCOMPETENT! 9/9/2009

The Managers are cocky and arrogant. The teachers are great I trusted them fully!! I used to work at a daycare before I had kids and the problem was parents would bring their children in SICK and that would of course spread and get the other children sick. allot of times when I was dropping off my child at LRSH I would see a coughing child or one just sitting there looking sick and its the managers and other parents I mean if a kid is coughing at all they should NOT be at a daycare they should be at home with some hot soup and Mommy's! The Managers should pay more attention! I say thumbs down to Little red they are incompetent! more

I agree with Kay. My child was hurt here several Times one time he need medical Attention, The center did nothing to protect my child. I took him Right out ! Kay keep looking don't let your child get hurt at this center, go to the municipal child care division and file a complaint, also contact the attorney generals office and file a complaint, this school is falsely advertising its self as a preschool , which they are not. Please protect your child.This school needs to be closed the Staff neglects kids. Look at all the complaints and investigation at the municipality. more

Disappointed Mom 5/28/2009

would not recommend that any parent bring their child to this facility. My son has been attending Little Red School House since the age of 1 he is now almost 2 and this by far one of the worst facilities I have seen. They claim that your child is learning and that they are teaching them basic skills, however every time I pick my son up he is off free playing. They do not teach them, this is not a learning center. So if you want your hard earned money going to free play this may be the place for your child. My son also has come home with multiple cuts, bruises and scraps and when the staff is asked they have no idea where they came from. He has came home in other children's diapers on several occasions when I provide diapers for him. On top of that the center is filthy dirty, and smells horrid. Just recently they informed parents of a MRSA Outbreak in the facility. Maybe if they disinfected and cleaned the way they are supposed to there would be no MRSA. With that said I am desperately more

Little Red School House 7/8/2008

I have been taking my child to Little Red School House for the past 7 months, and I am very happy with the care he is receiving. The staff and management are professional and knowledgeable, and I consider Little Red School House to be one of the finest child care centers in town. They provide meals and snacks, and offer a great learning environment - every day my child comes home with a new bit of knowledge! I would highly recommend this center to anyone looking for quality child care at an exceptional price! more

Little Red School House is an excellent child care facility! 7/5/2008

I have been taking my son to Little Red School House since he was 12 months old, he loves it and so do I!! The staff and management are very caring and attentive and are genuinely concerned with the health, welfare and development of every child. They have a well-rounded curriculum which includes indoor and outdoor play, arts and crafts, stories, singing, free play, and nap time. They also provide healthy breakfasts, lunches and snacks and their hours are fabulous! more
