I am a sporatic brazilian wax goer but will absolutely be returning to this salon. Shirley was easy-going, very nice, and this is one of the best waxes I have ever had. The wax was for senstive skin which is great because I have no irratation and it didn't hurt (on the relative waxing scale). Shirley moved super fast yet did a great job! I lucked out and this wax was 50% off because of their discount that I saw on Daily Candy, but I was surprised at how good the prices were regardless ~ really reasonable prices for a great salon in the Fillmore. The salon is in a good location and the inside is so cute and has lots of things to look at while you're there. Lisa has been taking care of my skin for over 10 years. My skin has never been better. She knows me and my skin so well and just knows exactly what it needs every time I have an appointment. Lisa has also been shaping my brows for this same time frame. They have never been overdone, they look very natural and uplifting. She has excellent knowledge and experience in her field that is priceless. Lisa is not only knowledgeable and experienced she is smart, beautiful has a fun great attitude and I look forward and enjoy every appointment I get. Her salon is centrally located with plenty of parking nearby. Her salon is creative, lush and ever changing with beautiful accessories and treatment products. I am so lucky to have her in my life. I used to have wonderful eyebrows until Lisa asked during a facial, if I wanted them reshaped. Caught a bit off-guard, I impulsively agreed, and now, years later, I live with the deep and constant regret that I ever let her touch them. They used to be so nice and full until she tweezed them down to thin Garboesque lines, which have NEVER grown back! I finally had them tattooed and touched up each year, which costs me several hundred dollars and is a sad substitute for my once lovely, natural pair. Beware! more

Lisa is amazing. I went and got a facial and brow wax, and it was so soothing and gental. She asked me questions about my skin so that she could tailor the facial perfectally to my needs. The brows only took a second, the wax tempature was almost soothing in a way. There was no presure to buy product, but I did because everything she put on my face felt and smelled fantastic. I left looking and feeling like a million bucks. I can't wait to see Lisa again. I feel so lucky to have found this place. I received a discount coupon at some function & decided to give it a try, expecting the same old facial: smear on some goo, rub it around, call it a day. Was I in for a treat! Shirley asked tons of questions about my skin & how I cared for it, and looked me over with a magnifying glass, explaining stuff & making recommendations. Then she gave me my first ""real"" facial - extraction, exfoliation, the whole works! I looked - and felt - fabulous when I left. I've been going almost-monthly for over 4 years now, and as I've crept into my 40s, people are still telling me what beautiful skin I have :D! I'm still using the products Shirley has recommended over the years, since they are the best for my skin (Optaderm rocks!)\r \r I also love the environment. Your treatments are done in little rooms in an old Victorian, with lacy coverlets on the beds, and snuggly blankets in the winter to help you relax into the experience. I never feel rushed, even when I'm late for my appointment - I feel like I'm the only client Shirley has! They also display a bunch of non-beauty stuff which is fun to browse - last month I did my shopping for 2 baby gifts without leaving the spa! Lisa Bradbury is fantastic! She is a skincare expert and will design a facial to suit your skin type. She uses high quality products and is always introducing the best, new lines -- yet, she never does a hard sell. She's a genuinely nice person as well and the hour and a half with her flies by. Don't waste your time on the standard issue facials at the new spa factories in town. They're ok for body treatments and massages, but if you want personalized service that will make a notable difference in the appearance of your skin, make an appointment for a facial with Lisa. Let me tell you I've had many many facials and spent a fortune on products...Shirley is by far the best skin care specialist I've been to. She asks a lot of questions about your habits, helping to expose things about your skin you'd never think of... She's honest in her approach and she doesn't hard sell you on products. In fact, we tested out several products before I left to see what works for me from the texture to the smell. I am the one that needs to be happy with the purchase, so that I use it and don't waste it. She doesn't believe in lots of extra products, she believes in keeping it simple and I think that is a breath of fresh air. She even makes recommendations for ordinary household products that work well, if not better as an exfoliant than something that is in a pretty package and sells for $50! I really like that. Also, Mary the receptionist is very kind and helpful too...overall an excellent place to spend a few hours getting pampered so that you love your skin, so that you love yourself! Cheers! Shirley is the best! I started seeing Shirley about 2 years ago when my skin was a mess. She has gotten my skin in the best shape that it has ever been and I'm so grateful! The salon is very comfortable and Lisa, Mary and Shirley are all very welcoming and kind each time I'm in the salon. Shirley also does the best wax ever. I had one of the best, most focused on facials I have ever had at Lisa Bradbury Skincare Salon. It is no mistake that this is one of the best skincare places in SF. Shirley did a fantastic job and was really professional, yet personable. She loves what she does and it shows in her capability. She also gave me some great tips on how to take care of my skin. I started going to Lia Bradbury Skincare a little over a year ago on a friend's recommendation. LBS is different from other day spas I've been before. Shirley has done wonders for my skin! Since I've started going, my acne scars have all gone away and I rarely have breakouts. Shirley is extremely thorough; my skin is incredibly clean and smooth! She also shapes my eyebrows, and I always get compliments on the way they look. The best part is Shirley is completely honest about the products my skin needs. If there is a less expensive alternative, she has made recommendations and overall has saved me from spending tons of money on products that are too costly or won't do much for me. I worked in the cosmetics industry developing skincare products and always was highly skeptical of aestheticians and facials.... They always felt that were gooping a bunch of a lot of nice smelling creams and moisturizers on my face and not really doing anything to really treat my skin and make it better. I've been seeing Shirely for almost 2 years now. I recommend her to all my friends because she is great and is so knowledgeable about skin. She doesn't try to push products and will even give you an alternative from the more expensive brands. I used to get really bad break-outs but now they are far and few between. more

I recently went to the Salon because I am 7 1/2 months pregnant and my skin was freaking out because of hormones. What a wonderful treat it was. The specialist I saw, Shirley, was so sweet, attentive, and very knowledgeable. She made me very comfortable, which at this point in my pregnancy is VERY hard to do. I had a lovely facial with microderm and an Oxygen mask, and my skin has never looked better! After my treatments I also bought my baby a beautiful baby blanket, so we both got a treat. I highly recommend this salon to anyone interested in looking great and feeling pampered. i wasn't that impressed...i guess i didn't really feel like lisa really knew what she was talking about. the facial was ok...but, i really don't feel like its the ""best"", as I've had better. lisa did, however, take her time and explain everything to me...no sales pressure, and she seems like a nice lady. i wouldn't go back, though. it just seems a little overpriced for what you get. I've been to may salons around the country when I travel. I generally get ""feel good"" treatments"" but always chat with the service provider about skin related issues. Each and every time I do, I confirm what I know about Lisa -- that is, She Is Absolutely The Best Esthetician There Is! No Ands Ifs or Buts! I've gone to Lisa for many years and she is the only one that I let do any level of treatments on my face. She has done wonders! I recommend her completely and without any reservation. I am sure that Lisa is very knowledgeable. However, she is kind of full of herself and arrogant. The facial was short and sloppy; it was not worth $105 in my opinion. I drove 45 minutes to get to Lisas place, and it was the worst facial that I have ever had. I would not recommend this place to my friends. Pros: Location Cons: Service more

Lisa's salon is so beautifully decorated and in a nice neighborhood.
