We are moving every year and I can't believe what happened to us this time. Lions Movers totally ripped us of. They charged 85 Dollars an hour and I thought it would be a good deal. But when they were packing the boxes they only filled them up half way! They put leaking body wash over my dvd player (!), dirty shoes on top of towels, even the expensive mirrow boxes (what I didn't ask for) couldn't stop my nice picture frame of braking! A glass vase they put only one layerof PAPER TOWEL arround (!).... The power cable of my TVs I still didn't found!!! And then was a six hour moving with all the expentive package material 1300 Dollar!!!! NEVER AGAIN... Worst experience effer!!! Watch out.... This company has more names!!! Same is only the phone number!!!! Fake reviews.... I fell for them :( more

I've moved 3 times with Lions Van Lines Miami Movers and I just had the best move in my life on the last week! They gave us a very accurate estimate over the phone and help us plan our move. Soon their local dispatch called us and confirmed the job and went over the details. He also seemed very polite and professional, and assured us everything is going as it planed and the movers will come tomorrow @ 9 am. Not only did they show up on time but they packed nearly our entire apartment. Shortly after arriving, the Forman provided us with detailed information about the day and they started to work right away. Thank god they came with extra boxes and moving supplies and actually that we didn't even realize we will be needed! The packing obviously took much longer but once we arrived at our house they unpacked us in record time and even help us to reassemble some of our furniture. Back in June the contract in my apartment was about to expire so I was looking for a good moving company. I researched sometime in the internet, yellow pages etc. After calling a few, I realized that the lady from the customer service agent from this company was different than the others I called before. Always friendly, had an answer for all my questions or at least knew who to ask or where to look for it a.s.a.p. The price the offered me for my 2 bedroom move was way lower than the other estimates I got so far so I decided to schedule the move. The night before I received a call from the manager to verify one last time the pick-up address and the direction of the destination so that everything would work fine. The move was scheduled for 8.30am and the movers already arrived with 3 guys at 8.10am so we won a little time thanks the early arrival. They packed and loaded my stuff really quick and you could see immediately that they knew what they were doing. At the destination the unwrapped and unloaded my stuff and put them in the decided places, all this really quick and professional. After I had my stuff and was able to verify that nothing got damaged I paid the bill in the easiest manner with my Visa card. All in all I can say that it was a very good choice to hire this guys! Friendly stuff, fast work, best price and skillful movers. Communications was also great, so I can recommend these guys without any doubts at all! Thanks for the great job! more

Hiring a professional mover for the first time, I was a little anxious and skeptical. But since my company was paying for it, I wanted to make it as easy as myself as possible. First, I called around getting estimates. Most of the professional movers were about the same price for the 2 bedroom apartment worth of contents I had to be moved over 1,000 miles. It took a little while to understand all of the fine print like the binding and non-binding estimates, as well as insurance and limitations of liability. I opted to go with this company. The gentleman was very courteous and prompts with the phone calls and faxes, and explained everything fairly well to me. I had a lot of questions, and most of them were answered quite well. I decided to pack my own things since they would be stored in a storage unit prior to being moved. If moving things from or to a storage unit, choose a unit that is easily accessible to an 18-wheeler. I had a 20x10' unit pretty much full. I didn't get insurance since I didn't have anything too valuable and felt that I packed everything very well myself. I was given a 2-day window for pickup and a 5-day window for drop-off. I was told they would call for instructions the day before and so they did. Great communication and everything worked out extremely well for pickup. For loading, the driver and worker did very well while a family member watched. For drop-off, the driver had excellent communication, and I was able to fax maps to the driver to aid in the 18-wheeler-unfriendly roads in my area. The driver arrived on the first day of the 5-day drop-off period, at the planned time. The driver and worker were professional and courteous and everything was handled with great care. My furniture didn't appear to have any additional wear. I was most worried about a nice bedroom suite, but careful inspection showed it made the move great. The only thing I did notice was the corner of one wall near the corridor appeared to have been scraped by some furniture, only requiring some touch-up painting. Overall, a very good job. more

Norman was very professional over the phone when I was in the booking process and answered most of my questions for me before I even had to ask which I appreciated and once I booked my move with Lions Van Lines Miami Movers everything from there was handled in a professional manner also. When the actual movers showed up in the afternoon of my moving date they took care of me and put me at ease knowing that my stuff would arrive in Columbia and I was in good hands. Roger the driver was very nice and the movers were very happy with the fact that we bought them pizza and drinks at lunchtime. I would refer these guys to other people looking for a moving company that can do their move professionally. more

Score: 5-stars++. Excellent, Highly recommended! I communicated with the manager over the phone and email. He ?architected? the entire move and helped me with couple of ?money saving? advises (because it was my first move). Professional communication; Excellent responsiveness. The moving team: Vlad (fluent with both Russian and Romanian) and George. The team arrived 5 minute before the scheduled time. Assessed the actual volume in 5 min and accomplished the entire move in 5 hours with zero interference from my side. Both guys worked as ?wrapping-packing-moving-unwrapping? machines! Extremely impressive! I was really happy that I decided to hire them instead of doing this move myself (what I actually considered after reading all negativities about moving companies in this and couple of other forums). Bottom line: I would recommend these guys to anyone! Comments: a) Don?t save on wrapping the furniture even if you move around the corner. Let the team to wrap everything in blankets and fix it with scotch tape, - walls in your new place may say ?thank you? for that. b) In my opinion it is physically impossible for 2 movers to pack furniture only in 2-bed rooms apartment in 2 hours. 3 hours for packing should be used for estimation. c) Ask the customer service about pricelist for expenses you may have along the way (like scotch tape or boxes). It is good to know about them when you are budgeting your move. more

I am very happy with the quality of work these Movers provided to our family. We left our home area for job relocation and have looked and looked for accredited moving companies that are certified and have great recommendations. This one came up to be one of the top. I contacted them and customer service was just amazing. Jim, the GM, helped me through the process, provided me a quote quickly explaining all costs related to my move. No hidden charges. All information was presented on the quote. I shopped around a little bit and many companies were not providing me with the full picture and were not honest about possible fees. Thanks to Jim, he gave me a few tips on what questions needed to be asked to have the true answer. When I asked these questions to the competitors, there were hesitant to answer. This is when I knew it could have been a possible scam. I chose this Moving Company and I am very happy with my choice. It was the best move I realized so far. I wasn't sure what to expect from a mover considering all the negative reviews I read all over the internet. I found a few companies with mostly positive reviews and out of the few I chose Lions Van Lines Miami Movers due to all the reviews and their better business bureau rating being an A which was for me the deciding factor. They quoted me $3,700 for my move from Florida to California and gave me a 2 day spread for my pick-up. They called me a day before the pick-up to verify my address and told me to expect the driver between 9 and 2. The driver (Anthony) showed up at 11:30 and loaded the truck and informed me that several pieces of glass (a TV unit, tabletop and mirror) required packing and said ""you can do it while we pack the rest of the truck or I can do it and normally we charge $25.00 per piece but we can do it for $50.00"" deal. The guys were professional and fast and my delivery on the other end was flawless. Great job to all envolved. Highly recommended company. more

Our move through this moving company was an excellent one. Our coordiantor Dan was professional and made sure that he noted several requests that we had and they nailed down most of them as promised. Also, two days before the move the movers called to let us know when they would be there to pack our belongings. The day before the move the packers showed up on time and were very professional about their job. They completed packing in a little over 5 hours. The only problem was they had the wrong size boxes for our mattresses. They said they would bring the correct ones back first thing the next morning. Also, the day before the move the driver came and did his inventory which he usually does not do until the day of the move. The day of the move the moving van and loaders showed up when they said they would be there.We paid $650.00 more for a full packing service and everything!!! arrived in perfect condition. This is our third moving experience and so far the best of the three and although we do not plan on moving in the future, if we do for some reason we would surely call these movers! more

Also a few months back my cousin had a horrible experience with a long distance mover during his interstate move. So I was very skeptical about the moving service providers. After reading the reviews and getting at least 8 different price quotes from $ 390 to $640 I decided to choose this moving company to move my belongings. The moving was smooth and I like to thanks all the guys and their Customer Service for helping me move my belonging safe to my new home. We used to move a lot, and so far these guys were the best. Great service, great price, friendly and reliable staff. Some of my friends have used this moving service company already, my mom used them, and I've used them, and we've all had nothing but good things to say. Always efficient, friendly, and, most importantly, their rates are cheap. more

I read all the reviews from Citysearch and was confident that i was making a great choice in movers....first lets start by saying that my appointment was schedule 2 weeks in advance and was schedule for 9 am, the movers showed up at 1pm when I called headquarters spoke with Alex and was told that things happen at the end of the month..the actual movers had called me at 9:05 to tell me that they were going to another job and would come around 10am. At 1pm the truck arrives and they proceed to wrap my furniture in black plastic wrap...i see one of the guys dropping my boxes as he's leading them into the truck...they took one hour to load all my stuff into the truck. Then the main guy tells me that they will meet me at my apartment cuz they have to stop for lunch before going to my new local. They left my house at 2:10 and did not show up to my apartment until 3:45 i was moving from the Gables to Miami beach it ONLY takes 15-20 min to get there that's how long it took me to get there. When they got to my apartment the main guy tells me how was I going to pay---they had not even started to unload the truck--they continue to drop my boxes and almost broke my TV twice speaking of which they also left my 32"" TV from the bedroom in the middle of the living room and left some of my furniture STILL wrapped in the black plastic wrapper. Conclusion was that the bill was a whopping $610 for a one bedroom apartment that is only 600sqft they only moved living room set, bedroom set and boxes with personal stuff ( about 30 medium boxes) I was told that the price included 3 wardrobe boxes but they only brought one that they used to put my small boxes into so that it would be easy for them to load when I had specifically told the guy that I needed it...I had to put my clothes in 2 medium boxes. Then when I asked why the bill was so much when the price quoted was $90 per hour for a job that took them from 1pm to 4:45 with an hour lunch break on my clock the guy said that the black plastic wrap, tape, and boxes that I used for my clothes as well as the wardrobe box that THEY used all cost money. From 1pm to 5pm (4 hours X $90=$360) so they used $250 of supplies!!!! That is BS like I said they moved a small one bedroom apartment. When I tried to contact Alex in headquarters he refused to answer my calls I tried for 2 hours to speak to someone who can answer what happen. To add insult to injury my friend moved 2 weeks ago and used Rapid movers and moved a two bedroom apartment from Dadeland to the Grove for $430... they took advantage of the fact that I am a woman alone doing this move. DO NOT USE THIS MOVERS more

I checked all the information about these Miami movers, was very satisfied with reviews I had read before arranging the date for my move with this moving and storage company, I had spoken to the sales representative Alex that was very willing to answer any questions I had in regards to packing materials, the contract and additional fees. Although I did end up paying an additional $25 it was due to a couple of wardrobes and about 10 extra boxes, they didn't apply fuel charge and no document fees which isn't that bad since other companies tried to charge me for that. Overall it went very smoothly, the office was very helpful and the movers worked very efficiently! The rates are very attractive, the customer service staff is helpful and informative.
