Best

Perfect place to eat steak. Wonderful, delicious, just a treat. If you want anything other than steak, this place isn't for you.

Worst

This is a steak place!!?? I understand that this is what they are SUPPOSED to do well. So, my wife & I ordered STEAK (their BEST NY Sirloin). What we received was the possibly ...

This is a REAL Steakhouse! 2/4/2003

Fantastic food, with a warm and classic atmosphere. Also, a very simple menu! more

over priced sirloin 2/4/2003

It was a very long wait for very over priced sirloin!! Cons: over priced for sirlo more

Yum Yum 2/4/2003

This place is the best! If you love steak, you gotta go to Lindey's. Pros: good parking, different, delicious more

If you like MSG.... 1/30/2003

The steaks are mediocre at best. You get two choice of steak or hamburger. There is a total lack of selection. Rusty lettuce with their ""house"" dressing, greasy garlic bread, ho-hum hash browns and a couple slimy watermelon pickles are what you get, like it or not. I can think of a dozen places where the steak is better and less expensive. You get to choose your sides too. Pros: Inexpensive Drinks, Decent Wait Staff Cons: Grungy Atmosphere, Poor Selection, NO CREDIT CARDS more

not for me 1/13/2003

Over priced value service was slow and Did not want to accomidate for a Birthday. more

If you like gristle & rusty salad 1/13/2003

When we first moved into the area 20 years ago, Lindseys was recommended to us. The experience was marginal. Recently we gave Lindeys another try, thinking that maybe the first experience was an off night in the kitchen. After 20 years we experienced the identical quality of beef and sides. If you want a very limited selection of sub par quality beef , with rusty iceberg lettuce as a salad this is the place for you. For the same amount of money you can purchase a much higher quality cut of meat at The Outback or Timberlodge, without the gristle, with fresh salads and sides. more

You're kidding me, right?! 1/13/2003

The steak reminded me of the roast beef my grandma served every Sunday afternoon. I think they forgot something in the preparation....Flavor! more

Lindey's Prime Steak House while pretty Spartan, serves up some of the best meat and potatoes I have ever tasted. Granted, it is a little pricey, but worth every penny. I live in Michigan and always look forward to a meal at Lindey's when visiting. Pros: greaseless hash brown Cons: needs to expand more

Over Rated 12/25/2002

Sirloin is the only thing on the Menu. I will take a T-Bone, New York Strip, Ribeye, or Prime Rib anyday over the lower cut Sirloin Steak. Timberlodge beats Lindeys hand down. Overpriced for Sirloin more

longlove 12/19/2002

Lindey's second steakhouse in the Twin Cities is by Medicine Lake. The food is the same, the ambience not quite as down home, but no waits. Have loved Lindey's since 1973. I know one guy from Florida who travels about once per month to the Twin Cities and stops at Lindeys each time. more

Fanatical Steak Lover 12/19/2002

I only went to Lindey's once with a group of friends, but it was soo good! The meat was done to perfection! The garlic mashed potatoes were excellent as well! more

MMMM, what a Steak, UNBELIEVABLE! 12/15/2002

This place is a classic, Simple menu and by far the best steak I have ever had. Compared to others around town this place is a bargain! Loved the Holiday atmosphere at their new location in Medicine Lake. Pros: Bargain, atmosphere Cons: hard to find more

nummy mooo 12/10/2002

Lindey's is a great old school steak house. The waitresses are classic as is the original wood work. Pros: good value more

top of the line 10/7/2002

We have been going to Lindeys for 30 years and never had a bad steak. I am glad they opened a second steakhouse in the western suburbs. I hope too many people don't find out about it because it is convenient and no wait is necessary. Pros: seconds on potatos Cons: long waits occassiona more

excellentlontie 10/3/2002

The best steak I've ever had. Sides are excellent. Normally I don't order a steak out; because, I can prepare it better than most restaurants. This is one restaurant that can cook a steak better than I can. Pros: home grown beef, good parking, best steak ever Cons: expensive, no reservations, crowded more

What??? 9/6/2002

How could Lindey's possibly win? Thier steaks are satifactory but hardly on the same playing field with Manny's and Howie's. They have a very limited selection and a small uninviting atmosphere. They are overpriced for what they are. Do the owners must have a lot of freinds and relitives voting for them. Cons: Limited menu more

Best of the Best 8/6/2002

I'm not usually a steak eater when going out, but the steak at Lindey's to sooo awesome. The best steak I've ever had! more

I think I'll go tonight 7/16/2002

Lindy's has the best steaks in Minnesota. The menu is limited, but exceptionally tasty. I've been there too many times to count, and have only had one bad waitress. (she's not working there anymore) Friday and Saturday nights you can expect to wait, but it's worth it! more

Tender but not so tasty 6/3/2002

The atmosphere was old time lakeshore steakhouse. The choices, prime or choice cuts, 16 oz. each with a difference of $3.00 in price or a 16 oz chopped steak. The sides were as discribed in the critics rating. My husband chose the choice cut and I got the the prime. The meat was very tender but lacked taste. There was no great grilled flavor and there were no sauces. The salad was small with iceberg lettuce and 1 slice of tomato, no choice of salad dressings. No desserts! We felt the meal was over priced and for the price there should have been a few choices in salad dressings, sauces, etc. more
