Sad News 6/20/2011

It's really sad new, but Limbo will be closing July 3rd, 2011. Everyone's going to really miss them. They've been there for 17 years, next to Trader Joe's, helping shape the Woodstook/Sellwood community with their healthy organic products. Joshua Stephen's, the tall guy who's worked at Limbo for 11 years(most of the time as night the manager), will be opening his own, separately owned, online spice and herb business called Stone Cottage. His website is stonecottageherbs dotcom, and his business is scheduled to be up and going. taking online orders, in July. Stone Cottage's products will be ordered online and delivered. more

GREAT PRODUCE, GREAT HERBS 3/11/2006

Someone told me that Limbo has the biggest collection of herbs in Oregon, something like 600+ varieties of herbs and teas. Plus, their produce is always really cheap and affordable - I always get a great deal and usually pick up a few extra items because the price is too good to pass up. It seems like the same produce at bigger stores, like Wild Oats and New Seasons, are almost always a little more expensive. So why support those? They also make mean smoothie. The store has a great ambience and the staff are all very friendly and knowledgable. I really love going to Limbo, either as part of a Trader Joe run or just to pick up some produce/coffee. Pros: Great Selection, Friendly Staff, Cheap Prices more

cheap organics 11/19/2003

The vast majority, if not all, of the produce here is organic and produced locally, and prices rival those of any other grocery store for conventionally grown, shipped-in produce. They always have tomatillos (organic), which can be tough to find at all-- great selection. Their bulk dried herbs & spices selection is also THE most extensive in town. It's family-owned, the cashiers are quick and friendly, and they always have amazing specials outside. Pros: organic, inexpensive, selection more
