The staff is knowledgeable, caring and very accommodating. They provide excellent care for my dog and cat and are always mindful of my limited budget and always do a little more than is expected. more

I have been using this vet for years because of the location. Well, the drive is worth it. I am sick and tired of getting hammered with additional fees over and over. They will hide hundreds of dollars behind the ""lab tests"" excuse. I discovered a few years ago that this was the highest price vet anywhere around, but when my quotes for services on my puppy's last visit were over 700 dollars I was shocked. The puppy had kidney failure and after telling me they were not going to be able to save the dog without aver 2000 dollars in surgery and then they were not sure it would work, we decided to put him down. Amazingly, all of the ""lab tests"" they had done up to that point, and had told me it was about $700, got reduced to $240 when they could not save the dog. They thought it was a nice thing they were doing, I just realized the were basically charging me triple what they could have been charging. This place used to be a nice place, but through the years the focus has changed from pets and care to money. A shame to see it happen in this industry also. Lillington Veterinary Hospital have been caring for our pets for 7 years. I have always felt that they had the best interest of my pets in mind. I am comfortable with the veterinarians on staff in particular the owner Dr Jan Batker since I have known her the longest. Their cost for their services are similiar to other veterinarians in the area. I like the staff and feel that they are knowledgable and caring. \r I feel that they are honest and up front with me with our pets needs. These vets will try to take as much money as they can from you! They don't care about your pet. They just want your wallet. Go elsewhere!! I know a few people who have actually switched because the charges are too high! Pros: clean office Cons: High prices!! Advantage costs roughly $20 a pop. At other places it costs $12!! more

The people at Lillington Veterinary Hospital are more like overzealous salespeople than animal doctors. They care more about making money than helping poor, sick animals. The first time I took my dog there for a regular checkup, they wanted me to leave him there for a professional grooming and 'pedicure/manicure' session. I should have learned from that experience, and it's my fault for taking my sick 12-year-old cat there for an emergency appointment. They wanted to take all sorts of lab tests to test for only one possible disorder, which would have cost $400-$600. Additionally, they wanted us to purchase all sorts of irrelevant products and services, which would have come out to be a total of $600!!! Don't get tricked into their schemes. Save your wallet and your pet, and go somewhere else!!! In the future, I will be taking my pets to a vet that actually cares!!! Pros: location Cons: service, costs, staff more
