We came to Lightsey to sample ""weird"" seafood on their sampler appetizer platter. This includes gator and cooter (turtle). They were out of some things, so we setteled on the gator appetizer. We were surprised at how good gator is!! It's a little chewy, but it tasted like very well seasoned pork. For the main course, we got the grouper wings (cheek area) with the fried shrimp. The grouper wings had bones, but the meat was great. The shrimp had a nice, light batter on them with a very good, crisp flavor. We decided to sit on the patio, but the restaurant had great decor of stuffed fish with some plaques that described record-breaking catches. It's a little out of the way near the boat slips, but this makes for a nice view while on the patio!! Will definately go back when I'm in FL again!
Pros: Good food, great service, nice view outside, great decor inside
Cons: they were out of some things, but it was new year's eve
